Working on an adapter which should make this possible actually. With that being said however there isn't a bunch of added functionality however, some of the controls won't do anything on a B8 or B8.5, but the ones that work will produce stock like functionality.

After some testing and work the list of TT and TTS Mk3 flat-bottom wheels are available for the B9 models.

Note that these are thicker and more contoured than even the stock flat-bottom wheels found on all the B9 models. The wheels are also a bit cleaner and sportier looking with the aluminum trimming, plus there is the option for a leather trimmed airbag for a really upscale appearance.

TT Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel Packages - (All smooth leather, black leather with black stitching, with or with shift paddles, no badging, airbag included)

TT Flat-Bottom Multi-Function Steering Wheel Package

(Smooth Leather, Black Stitching, with or without Black Paddles, No Badging, Airbag Included)

TT S-Line Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel Packages - (Partial air leather, black leather with cliff grey stitching, with or with shift paddles, S-Line badging included, airbag included)

    TT S-Line Flat-Bottom Multi-Function Steering Wheel Package

(Partial Air Leather, Grey Stitching, with or without Black Paddles, S-Line Badging, Airbag Included)
    S Steering Wheel Badge - $64.50 each

TTS Flat-Bottom Steering Wheel Packages - (Smooth leather, black leather with black, grey or red stitching, with or with shift paddles, TTS badging included, airbag included)

TTS Flat-Bottom Multi-Function Steering Wheel Package

(Partial Air Leather, Black, Grey or Red Double Stitching, with or without Black Paddles, TTS Badging, Airbag Included)
    S-Line or S Steering Wheel Badge - $64.50 each

    Fitment:
    • All A5, S5, RS5 B9 models REQUIRE an airbag which is included in the pricing
    • Supplied airbags are proper dual stage units unlike many offerings from other suppliers
    • TT and TTS Mk3 steering wheels are thicker and more contoured than the stock steering wheels
    • There are NO heated flat-bottom steering wheels available
    Delivery:
Many wheels will be in stock in the US, however with so many choices and styles some packages may need to be ordered in. Time frames for delivery on out of stock steering wheels will range from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the style wheel.

The TT Mk3 style wheels look right at home in the B9 models. The aluminum trimmed center section matches all of the alu accents of the interior and an added bonus is they are a tad thicker and more contoured than even the S4/5 flat-bottom wheels. A great upgrade for those without a flat-bottom from the factory or even for a unique look in an S4/5 model.

Working on an "S" badge solution for the S4/5 models at the moment.

If anyone has any questions or needs on these or other steering wheels don't hesitate to inquire via PM or email: [email protected]

The TT Mk3 wheels seem a step above the B9 standard flat-bottom wheels. Figuring out badging is being a little tricky so far. Tried an original style S5 badge without luck, trimming, sanding, wrong shape. Hopefully the "S" badge variants I have coming in will work out better since the S4 and S5 models will obviously need appropriate badging.

Waiting on some TTRS shift paddles as well for the full experience...

Anyone know how the alcantara stands up to a daily driver? I'm talking 150+ kms a day.

The full alcantara with red stitching is absolutely gorgeous.

There is a setup to fit the TTRS wheel with the satellite controls, even the R8 with 4 controls. This does require a new dashboard mounted switch set which is wired to the additional controller which allows the buttons to function. For anyone interested please do PM or email: [email protected]

The alcantara is a synthetic fabric and stands up well just as the door panels and seats in models that have alcantara. Occasional gentle cleaning with mild soapy water works well to get natural oils and dirt out of the fabric to keep it looking new.

Another option for folks with flat-bottom or round 3 spoke wheels that would like an upgrade:

    Shift Paddles | Extended

These paddle extensions can be added to the B9 flat-bottom and round 3 spoke steering wheels. Genuine bolt-on complete extended paddles for that quick upgrade. Paddles are illuminated.

Is that one mine? Forget if I optioned the leather airbag ... but it looks good!

Was planning to run my heated wheel during the cold months, then swap to flat bottom for the rest of the year; like a having winter/summer wheels ... but for the interior! That just looks so sick though, I might have to give up the heat year 'round.

Is the programmable button functional on Cold Weather equipped cars? Since my car is mapped to Steering Wheel Heat ON/OFF in that location, I presume the * button will be a dummy switch in mine?

This is your wheel and is on it's way to you as we speak. The leather trimmed airbag is a nice touch.

I have yet to have a customer go from heated to non-heated on a B9 as of yet. Oddly the steering wheel module doesn't have any coding available which is generally where that would reside if it could be coded between the heating and "*" button.

The car may automatically recognize the "*" command, though your MMI setup wouldn't have that setup to be used. I did a little quick digging through the S5 here and didn't find anything in the infotainment, instruments, central elec, hvac modules about a heated wheel. I can do a bit more digging and we could also have you send over an auto-scan of your car and I can do some comparisons to see where, if anywhere, that coding resides.

Hmmm ... Guess I'll be a guinea pig on this one then. LOL. Hopefully it's plug-and-play, meaning the heat input from mine doesn't have issues with whatever the corresponding plug is on the flat-bottom. Don't care if the * button functions, just wonder if there will be a compatibility issue in the wiring.

Only wiring you have is just additional power to the slip ring for the heating function. All other wiring is identical along with communication, etc through the slip ring which is also the steering wheel control module.

    Cheers,
That makes sense. Same with my F150; it has heated wheel and when I swapped my OE 15 Platinum for the OE 17 Platinum (much nicer) there was a single connector for heat. The wheel and controls are otherwise identical whether or not a truck has the heated wheel option; those without just don't connect that wire. Difference is, the control for heat on/off is part of Sync and not a button (on the steering wheel).

Do you have an install guide for the extended shift paddles or know how easy/hard they are to install (and the steering wheel)? I couldn't find anything on your website.

The airbag needs to come out, it unclips from behind, and then the black trim with the controls pulls out by hand so you can access the torx bolts that hold the paddles in place. Undo the torx bolts and replace the paddles, then button everything back up by plugging in the paddles to the controls then pushing the black trim back into place.

Now all wheels have the choice of changing badges!

With some very gentle work a damage free method of swapping badges on the all-leather wheel offerings has been perfected. This allows you to match the proper badging for your application so you don't have to get that sinking feeling when you see mismatched badges in the interior...

Is it possible to replace just the airbag cover on the b9 RS5? Was really hopping to get one with leather and stitching vs the standard plastic piece.

Unfortunately none of the B9 models came with a leather stitched airbag available. The TT airbag is a different design and shape so the cover would not fit.

I would be interested in the extended paddle shifters. However, would there be any possibility of you creating an installation guide?

Repair manual instructions are included with purchases if requested. The rundown above gives essentially a step by step procedure. If you feel comfortable unclipping the airbag, removing and working with press fit trims then you can install. If not a shop could do the work in an hour or so.

Great looking wheels!! This may have been asked before, but do you think there will ever be a flat-bottomed wheel that offers the heating element?

    Thanks!

Sadly I see no moves by Audi to have heated flat-bottom wheels on any model at this point. Even the newest A6/7 C8 models do not have this

Which one of these wheels are thicker and more contour like the b8.5 S5 wheels? Just got the new b9 S5 and i hate the thinner wheel... was very surprised to see that, seems like a step backwards.

All of the TT, TTS Mk3 wheels are thicker than the stock S5 B9 wheels. They are also more contoured like the B8.5 wheels, plus they are a stylish upgrade and you can fit the leather stitched airbag as a nice touch too.

    Cheers,
    Cool, thanks Alex.

What about this full alcantara one? Or the same one that’s full perforated?

All the wheels that are shaped like the stock S5 wheel will be the same thickness, RS3, Alcantara, Air Leather, etc. The leather type, paddles, stitching are different but the shape and thickness remains the same.

If you really want a thicker wheel the TT and TTS wheels take the cake. Have one in the S5 here and it's nicer feeling plus goes well with the interior.

Yes, unfortunately the airbag has to be changed for the TT Mk3 wheels and that is included in the pricing. Have some more of the TT S-Line wheels in stock ready to go!

What about a TTRS steering wheel? Will the start/stop and drive select buttons work? I just traded my '18 TTRS for my RS5 SB last week, the steering wheel is one of the things I am missing.

This is something that is being worked on, but current is not fully complete. An adapter module is in testing to make the satellite controls work with the B9 and other models. When it is completed and fully ready look for a post here for sure.

Unfortunately the TT uses a different airbag shape/design so the B9 airbag won't fit a TT Mk3 wheel. The pricing is higher for the TT Mk3 wheels because the airbag is included since it's required for the fitment.

Several people have expressed interest in more details on the new RS extended metal shift paddles.

    Shift Paddles | Extended
    - The extended paddles are the largest top and bottom. Paddles are plastic and feature illuminated "+" and "-" icons. These are bolt-on for B9 factory steering wheels with round airbags that have paddles from the factory.

Shift Paddles | RS Extended - In Stock!
    - The RS extended paddles are taller on the top than standard paddles. Paddles are not illuminated, but feature a cutout in the metal upper area plus a more solid and positive shifting action due to being metal instead of plastic. These are bolt-on for B9 factory steering wheels with round airbags that have paddles from the factory.

    Shift Paddles | Standard
    - The standard shift paddles are the smallest of the three and are factory fitted to A and S models. Paddles are plastic and feature illuminated "+" and "-" icons.

The newest addition with the RS extended paddle is interesting to see Audi go a in-between in sizing, but just as they did with the 1st generation R8 GT they went back to a metal shift paddles which does have a more solid, positive action when clicked. If anyone has any questions do let me know here or via PM/email: [email protected]
