It took me 7 years to mod my Miata, then I sold it. My plan with the TT is get it all done RIGHT NOW so I can enjoy it. I got ZERO mod money back from the Miata, so I’m maximizing my TT fun as best I can.

Yep, that's always the way it is. Gotta figure modding is fun payback (both the installation and subsequent use), without any monetary payback.

I feel like every time I'd throw the transmission into M mode I'd wack my hand on the phone and get pissed off. Maybe your wife doesn't use M mode? Nice placement otherwise. What does it attach to?

A break in the weather gave me a chance to wash the TTS today. I had to hurry before the cold front came through. It was 63 degrees and sunny outside when I started and 36 degrees and high winds when I finished. What a difference a couple hours makes! Winter is back. :(

Wheels are VMR V710 in gunmetal 19x8.5 ET35 all round with 245/35/19.

Spawn350, Do you have more details somewhere on the powder coating of the stock BO 20" wheels? Did your dealer paint them? I heard that Powder Coating heated up the wheels and was a "no go".... Is that what you/they did, and it is OK? I may do this, but in Satin. I think I saw you are getting rid of the car - hope it was fun while it lasted.

People powder coat wheels all the time, many wheel makers paint the wheels with that method too. The problem is that not all powder coating shops know what they are doing so you have to pick the shop carefully and make sure they don’t ruin your wheels in the coating process.

Make sure they don't torch your wheels like steel wheels. They should sandblast them first IIRC. The actual powdecoating isn't done with that much heat.

Pretty sure most of the damage can potentially come from the prepping.

Yea you have to hit them with a sock and APC every so often. I use a boars hair brush and soap/APC on my grilles every wash.

This is what happens when you get a piece of metal lodged in your rear left tire on the way home from the animal hospital because your pet had an anaphylactic reaction, the tow truck operator doesn’t know what he’s doing, and he uses a screwdriver to open your tow hook, and then drags your front bumper up the flat bed.

No use of planks, no zero degree truck like Badman’s pic above, had to tell him to stop, called a new tow truck, he had it up in minutes with no damage.

Car is now at Audi for a replacement tire and paint damage on a 1300 mile TTRS.

It’s been a fun weekend.
