Anyone use BG44K or another fuel system cleaner on their S4? I noticed a difference when putting some in my Touareg, but wonder if it's worthwhile on my 85,000KM B8.5.

That's what we use at the dealership it's good for s4 just don't use the intake one that bg has only the injection system cleaner

Great. So only the fuel cleaner system which you pour in the gas tank, right?

Glad you brought this up. I did a 3 step cleanup last oil change. 44K, EPR and MOA. I am at 75K, so I figured she could use some TLC since I track her 3-4 times a year.

Edit: Just want to suggest the funnel. Cheap and really a nice must have for the size cans.

I use BG MOA in all my vehicles. I also run BG 44K every other oil service.

They are a great product. Just keep an eye on eBay for some good deals.

Since we are just under 20 gal do you adjust volume or still put full can in?

I just bought the 3 pack w BG funnel from Amazon as well. I've never once used a fuel system cleaner, and had cars over the 200k mark, but I'm a sucker for spending money. This thread is actually the first I've heard of this product, but across the board people say it works so figure I'll try a can in the S and Q7.

I never use store bought fuel cleaner either. Well, I used to use Xylene in my Talon every once in awhile. But that came in the gallon container, so it would last for at least 5 servings.

Bumping an old thread, anyone else attest to using bg44k? I've only use Techron fuel injector cleaner in the past. Also, is this something you want to do a tank full or two before you do an oil change?

I have used the fuel cleaner in my S4. I also used it with every oil change in my old 2004 m45 that was prone to go through oil - it minimized consumption. It makes the car "feel" peppy but I cannot attest to how much it is actually cleaning.

Also i had a shitty pathfinder and did the BG44k trans fluid flush and it made a huge difference. A lot of dealerships use BG products.

Nice! Don't think I've heard any negative things about it. Do you use it before your oil change generally?

I only use the fuel system cleaner. Just put it in a fresh tank of gas really whenever.
