Thanks harr2969, you're right I was able to get to it thru the passenger side wheel well but it's tight af. I pulled a muscle trying to break it loose so I soaked it with PB Blaster and will try again this weekend. I lost my new 13mm socket somewhere in there too
If I can't get it out I think I am going to have to somehow cut the bracket, imo it doesn't need anymore support than being mounted to the exhaust manifold anyways
I thought the same thing, however it was pointed out to me that as a turbo spinning at high RPM's, tight mounting is absolutely critical. Poor mounting will contribute to poor longevity.
I would suggest you get the right tool to apply pressure. A long enough extension and breaker bar / air gun should let you get it. If it breaks, drill it out and replace it - but don't leave it empty and don't cut the bracket, IMHO, because that bracket is a PITA to replace.
