    Roof rack tool!?!

    Embarrassed to throw this out there but are there different tools to install/remove the stock roof racks on a Q5? I bought a tool from ECS that looks like anything I saw on YouTube but the cogs don't seem to line up at all. It's got all those little teeth in there plus three bigger teeth. And they just don't line up! Any help...

    It's a key, and there are 10 different ones available. You'll need to go to the dealer to figure out which one unless you can tell visually from this diagram.

    I guess the 10% chance it would work was good enough to take your money!

    It does look like on their website they specify what key code each one is for though.

    Had the same issue on this. I determined the key pattern from looking at my rack bolts and ordered accordingly from ECS. They still sent the wrong one lol.
