Guys. What do you recommend as the best sealant for the headlights, I have to open them and clean the old sealant and apply new one.

That's labeled windsheild sealant - I've got a roll of this stuff. :)

Do you know what solvent would help in cleaning / removing the old sealant off the headlight?

You have to stretch it out before use. It's way too thick as packaged.

    Headlight sealant

Nissan butyl rope is the easiest to work with. Tried alot of them and nothing comes close. It is the most exensive one though.

Wagons are made to haul things, mine is made to haul ass

You can buy some that is very thin rope (<1/4" vs some of the thicker stuff). Really helps flow if it's heated too.

Nissan headlight sealant is a must! I used it and it worked amazingly good! Seals good and even better, no mess!

I had yo open up my headlight and clean the inside. The biggest pain in the ass was the actual glue that I had to take off, such a crazy mess! Once I cleaned it up and took the old sealant off. I applied the Nissan sealant, just cut what you need and press the cover back on and heat it up till it softens up enough to get the retaining clips back on it.

1 pack will be enough for just 1 headlight. Expensive but worth it!

Ive used Nissan butyl sealant and its great, just stretch it to fit your application, then heat and clamp till cooled in 30 mins. I think it cost me $40 like 6 years ago but who knows now that its popular

What ever you do do not use silicone. Only butyl. Once contaminated with silicone nothing will stick.
