Cete module installed, observations and questions

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Module is installed and is performing great!

So I was lowered 17 mm with Vag-Com prior to me installing and just left it that way. Am I correct that if I set Dynamic to -7 all around then I am actually -24 mm's?

Also, I see 3 different profiles, why don't I see a profile for "Individual"? I must be missing something but wanted to ask you guys.

If I park and put it in show mode, should my car return to whatever setting my car was at when I turn it on? It seems faster to once I turn the car on just put it into comfort or dynamic to get it to start raising.

Overall really happy with the module, like others have said it can be a little slow to respond. I also set the speed setting to 150 KM's but when I hit that speed I did not notice on the app that it when to 0.

Badass Jesse! One of my favorite mods for sure.

You are correct on adding the drop from the Cete to the drop via Vag

Individual mode is running either comfort, auto, or dynamic ride height depending how you set the parameters. Individual is not it's own suspension setting. So if your Individual is like mine, it is set at dynamic for all parameters except suspension is set to comfort. So if I am in Individual mode, the ride height will be that of comfort mode.

So the ASC can take a little figuring out as there are is no guide supplied.

Its actually very easy once you understand how it operates.

Go into the Car MMI settings and select "individual". If you then select individual settings and highlight the suspension options, you then get the option of three suspension default settings:

    Comfort
    Auto
    Dynamic

Select Dynamic using the MMI, then fire up the Cete app and connect to the ASC module. You can now select the ride hight you want on the App (in your case -7mm) then select save settings. You can also change the default setting name to whatever you want using the App menu.

That ASC ride height you dialled in is now the new default setting for Dynamic when selected via MMI.

You can also change the default values for Comfort & Auto in exactly the same way. So you end up with 3 customised height settings, that you select using the MMI - No need to keep connecting the App to your ASC module, just select your saved dialled in height via MMI.

Thanks for clearing this up for me John! Have you messed with the speed limit control? I have it set to 150km, and when I have the app open and I hit 150 I don't see the values change.

I've not messed with the speed limit setting. I'm dialled down to -20mm on all four corners, and have left it at that. We have a lot of speed cameras in the UK so there is little to no opportunity to go much faster than 75/80, unless you track it

Ok, one last thing. I can't find the individual corner adjustment. I thought we could indivualy adjust each corner on this V2 model? Or am I wrong and we can only adjust rear or front?

    Hey Jesse,

There is no option for adjusting each corner independently of each other. (I guess you could do this via VCDS if you really needed to?)

What you do have is a "Balance Control" option in the ASC App settings menu. This allows you to set the individual front & rear height on one side of the car only - the left side as you look at the front of the car.

I'm guessing the logic behind this is that you use the right hand side as your reference point, then adjust the left side corner(s) up or down until your level on the axle.

Ok here is a pic after a full day at the office in show mode. So I'm not experiencing the gradual raise as others are reporting.

So if I have not had Vag Com mods done and just use the Module will my S7 have the ability to sit as low in Show Mode or will It sit 17mm higher in Lowest settings ?

Whether your car is lowered via Vag before the Module or not makes no difference as to how low the car can go...that's why I never thought it made sense to not have the car back at stock settings prior to installing the Cete.

    This^^

There are mechanical limitations on how low you can go with the stock air suspension. Doesn't matter how you get there, by VCDS or Cete module it will be the same final (height) result.

Cete make the whole process very easy, and adjustable on the fly. To get the maximum range of adjustment out of the Cete, l recommend reversing any VCDS programmed height changes and starting from stock height.

Haven't tried it as there are pop-up warnings on the app to not do this.

I'm not even sure if you can select show mode with the engine running.....

You definitely can select it while engine is running. The only time my car has ever moved from a stop while in show mode was for a small loop in a flat parking lot. Don't have the stones to try it out on open roads, I don't see the point as only bad things could happen

Bumping an old thread but once you've made the adjustments in Balance Control how do you see the change take place? I've adjusted mine but then didn't see any difference on the car. I changed to a different drive mode with different settings and still same amount off.
