Is the carbon fiber standard??

Also the sq5 I'm looking at doesn't have the luxury package. How is the leather? I always liked the Milano leather.

Also another question. I noticed on the sticker it says black interior. Does this mean it has the Alcantara or the full leather??

Not sure without seeing the sticker to know what you have, but I believe if you get the comfort pkg (luxury pkg) that you wouldn't have the SQ5 sports seats and would have the heated/ventilated seats. Not sure if this is Milano or Nappa.

As far as the trim, there is no standard. Just how it was ordered. Could be carbon fiber, could be the wood/ash layered. You'd be able to look up and see all the options for MY16.

If you get the standard SQ5 sport seats, they'll be the fine Nappa leather. If it says black (and doesn't say with alcantara inserts) it's likely just black leather.

See it doesn't say what trim it would be. Also it just says black interior. I really like the nappa leather so I'm assuming the plain leather is ok.

It looks like you have the standard S sport seats in all black Nappa leather. Not sure why it wouldn't say the inlays, but it's likely not the carbon atlas or it would have it specifically listed.

Still doesn't answer the interior trim question, but it looks like with the luxury pkg you will get full milano leather with heated/ventilated seats in black. (No alcantara inserts/no sport seats/no SQ5 embossing).

I'm assuming the sticker above applies to an SQ with 'regular' leather w/ alcantara inserts, and brushed alum interior trim.

Nappa leather is an individual option, and does include the instrument cluster cover. I believe the luxury package (w/ Milano) was only available on Prestige models. Standard was 'regular' leather with alcantara inserts. Magma red and lunar silver two-tone interiors were also options, I believe with 'regular' leather. For 2016 there was also an option for brown, but I can't speak to the grade of leather.

Standard interior trim was brushed aluminum. Carbon atlas was an upcharge option and layered black/alum was a pricier upcharge.

Leather is subjective. I can tell you that after experiencing Nappa leather, I knew it was a must.

Sport seats with fine Nappa leather (some with and some without alcantara depending on insert or stitching) have the SQ5 embossed.
The new '18s just have an "S" embossed.

The comfort/luxury seats that have heated AND ventilated/cooling will not have them.
Not sure if it's this way on the B platform vs the C platform, but usually that's part of the warm weather pkg/luxury pkg and involves round heated steering wheel vs the flat bottom sport wheel on the SQ5.

Regardless, that sticker indicates the sport seats (heated with extendable thigh support) in fine Nappa leather (and likely black alcantara inserts and door cards (which changed between the 15 & 16 models).

Oh man. Its cpo and has 10k miles on it. I just wish it had the 21's.

Only reason I don't want the alcantara is because it's going to be our family car so dog will be in it as well

I mean I guess I can buy the wheels. If it's aluminum trim it's going to bother me but I guess it is what it is. Not sure how much it would cost to buy the carbon fiber. But I guess it's possible. Alcantara is obviously not going to change so it's something we will have to live with. I love the look but now that I'm thinking about the wear and tear over the years I'm having second thoughts. Everything else looks good on the car though.

The carbon trim is about $1,000 on eBay. Mine has the aluminum trim and it dents easily.

My insomnia-fueled hobby is late-night roaming of the Autotrader iOS app. There is a fair amount of inventory out there....chase after what you want. What got me with the alum trim was the glare. I was okay with the look, but I knew when I upgraded to an SQ I'd want the carbon.

Geography is as geography is, but in my 100-mile radius, there are three '16 models configured exactly like mine.

I'm not sure on this, but I believe you'll have the alcantara door cards unless you get the diamond-stitched seats. FWIW, my dogs are in my vehicle at least a couple of times a month. Cleanup is fairly quick and easy.

-1 on the seats though (Alacantra). I couldn't argue though with the overall package and price.
