Anyone that can make a shift knob adapter?

Hi all - Going to cross post this thread with the S4 guys, but wanted to get a feeler out there because this community never disappoints.

What I'm looking for is a shift knob adapter to run on my 15 Mazda 3. I want to convert from the OEM Mazda thread sizing (10x1.25M) to Audi/VW sizing (12x1.5M).

I have found various adapters in other sizing, the closest being this: http://www.frsport.com/Proper-PP-KNO...r_p_52209.html

However, no one seems to be making this direct size. I reached out to a few companies, including BFI, if they would have a market for producing these adapters - but their response was, while they've considered this, it isn't in their immediate plans.

Does anyone have a good contact who might be interested in making a few or more potentially of these adapters?
Should be a fairly simple machined part for those competent with a Lathe.

    Thanks all

I haven't bought the new knob yet, but will do if you think this is something you can pull off.
I'm gonna buy a GS2 from Black Forest for the knob.

I will take pictures of the shaft and take measurements tomorrow.

But the GS2 Knob isn't a threaded knob, it just uses a set screw.....

I have one on my DSG and it was a set screw, but based on what I could tell - I thought the MT ones were threaded.. no?

The shift knob for MT uses the set screws. Here's where I purchased mine which shows the set screws in the pictures. Good luck with the project!

Nope, I have one on my MT and it's a set screw. I think older VW's and Audis used threaded ones.

Thanks for pointing this out.. I've been trying to iron this out for a couple weeks ever since I installed my short shift plate.

Thanks! I actually just ordered from there.. apparently ECS has an exclusive ECS only colored knob. Love it.

Thank you, I might not need an adapter at this point since it's based off set screws, but I will let you know if I do. Appreciate the offer!
