RWD, the vicegrips was for the power wire going into dash to see what works since I have the ECM out. I do have the old turbo, it is however an ebay turbo. I kept losing boost randomly and it just turned out to be a split vacuum line going to turbo then N75 valve (not the one on wastegate). I plan on making it a twin turbo 6.0, 800-1100hp....whats a good cost efficient rear differential(cv axle type) that would be able to handle the power every now and then without grenading?

Errr, please rewind. What engine are you looking to transplant into your B6?

I am interested to see this, but I dont know how the whole powertrain can fit in there. It's going to require a ton of fabrication and custom work. I don't see the oem subframe holding that ls3 engine, not to mention the weight of that engine on the front end.

Its going to be an LQ4 truck engine, ls2 intake. I realize it's going to require fabrication to fit it in there. One guy did it to his using LS engine into Nissan 350Z mounts from CXRACING.COM, going to fab core support since the pulley system protudes out 4-6 inches more(using wifes 2000 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 as a quick reference). A youtuber SLOPPYMECHANICS pushed 1064hp on a 5.3 with a single BAT on stock internals.

It'll be great to see this evolve.

You're definitely going to run into CAN, and other compatibility issues, though. As a small example, the B6 tacho is CAN-bus. You can't just wire it up to the ignition coil, and have it working.

Here are more issues you're going to run into.

    ABS.
    ESP.
    Cruise control.
    Climate control.
    Some elements of the CCM.
Some elements of the instrument cluster.
    Cooling - you'll lose the B6's PWM-controlled fan operation.

You've got a lot of work ahead of you.

Climate control, lighting all worked normal when I hooked battery up. I don't plan on using stock instrument cluster and ABS I'm not too worried about, however the wiring for ABS was ran separate from the ECU. Very interesting to see how it was put together. For the ABS, it had the connectors for the sensors on front knuckles to the ABS module and a ground and power wire under dash, fused in junction block on side of dash and routed to cluster for ABS light/SEPARATE. The cruise control is controlled by ECM, I have a full blown wire diagram for that(2003 Audi A4) and the wire diagram for truck/suv GM, tie into the individual wires for the certain settings. The cooling ie:fans is ECM controlled and basically a standalone wire harness on the LS, custom fuseblock for fuelpump, fans, and ignition.

The plus side of murican cars is the production crossover. And like stated above, a lot of components are stand alone with there own separate harnesses.

I dont feel you will be able to get the vw audi abs module to use the gm signals, but its easy enough to plumb in the gm module/haress, and use the audi lines. Just have to rig up the tone rings. Not an impossible task by any means.

The Climate Control worked when you hooked up the battery?? There's no way you would know this. Sure, the panel lights would work, and the blower motor would be active, but that's about all you could test, without the engine harness and ECU hooked up.

The compressor, independent A/C fans won't work. The control flap servo motors will also activate randomly, without any input from yourself.

One could potentially try and get it running on me7. Tuner would need intimate knowledge but it shouldn't be impossible to find someone and would certainly elevate the level of your build to have factory controls.

The intercooler on front of that one is hideous. Heyweir427, the only wired component I seen for ABS going to ECU was the leak detection pump. Everything else was wired separately.

the hvac could work in theory if he uses a variable displacement a/c compressor on the engine, and the audi pressure sensor in the condenser. the abs will almost certainly not work unless as stated you get a matching chevy abs pump and plumb it into the existing lines. The big hurdle is emission if this is to be street legal. It may or may not work if he uses a stock gm ecu that has emissions checks, and even then may be rejected by the emissions computer if it looks up the required hardware for the entered vin. as for the dash you can get inject rpm can data if you are determined to make it work.

the leak detection pump has nothing to do with abs, the abs works by getting a signal over the k-wire in the b6 chassis. It will still provide speed to the cluster but will not have abs/traction control working without this signal.

Are you going to have the motor sit in front of the wheel like in that video? If it's going to be rwd you can cut out the rain/battery tray to get the motor back more? A buddy of mine did a rwd conversion on his S4 avant B5 for shots and giggles and that thing handled like shit. It was easy to drift though lol

Most likely cut the rain/battery tray to recess it back, worried about the clearance of the R&P right below it. What transmission did he use?

Doing the bodywork in the meantime, SO MANY heatshields that I removed and fuel emission garbage everywhere. I have it all planned out, just need to put in the work.
