'OBDII Monitors Not Ready' after replacing test pipe with stock catalytic converter?

I'm trying to sell my 2009 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro in San Francisco, but need to pass the smog test before I can do so. Two weeks ago I had a local muffler shop replace my EuroCode Tuning test pipe for the stock catalytic converter prior to the smog test.

This morning I brought my car in to get tested, and the OBDII Monitors were Not Ready for the Catalyst and Oxygen Sensor. The individual performing the smog test recommended I just drive the car for awhile and come back in for another test in a few days. But were these sensors suppose to be reset by the muffler shop upon reverting it back to stock?

Has anyone else ever dealt with a similar situation? I also have an APR Stage II tune, does that need to be in stock mode while having a smog test performed?

Any help would greatly be appreciated as I'm trying to sell my car ASAP. Thank you!

Stage 2 will cause a failure on the ready test. It will need to be flashed stage 1 or stock.

Is that because my tune was tuned specifically for the test pipe when it was installed, so my tune is still reading the test pipe file?

Stage 2 eliminates the CEL from having the test pipe it basically tricks the computer in to thinking the cat is still in there, so yes

So your stage 2 is still bypassing the ready test of that sensor

Do you have an APR tune with switching? If so, put the tune in "stock" mode.

His 'stock mode' may still be coding it the cat and o2 sensors

You need to email apr and ask them to change your tune to stage 1 with O2 and cat sensors active, go to a dealer and reflash, or just remove the tune altogether. No matter what you'll need to get a reflash as more than likely any and all tunes on your ecu have the the sensors deactivated, and you'll never pass if they're deactivated.

I called the nearest APR dealership, Precision Motorworks in Santa Clara, they said the latest APR Stage II software released in December will allow the OBDII monitors to read as ready when in stock mode.

Any truth to this before I spend $80 updating my Stage II software instead of spending that money reverting back to stock or Stage I?

Have you already tried putting it in the stock mode that you have on your car? Then you need to drive for 50 miles or so. I thought most versions of the APR program switching had this, including older ones. Possibly no need to re-flash.

Also, don't run the stage 2 tune file on your car if you have the stock catalytic converter installed!
