2017 Audi S7 with Audi Exclusive interior

Hi everybody,

Just got word from my dealer that my car arrived and is being prepped. Back in February I put an order for a 2017 Glacier White Audi S7 with Audi Exclusive Chestnut Brown leather interior, Alabaster White contrast stitching and Oak Sepia inlays. I am having a front end Xpel clear bra put in. Pick up Friday at 1 PM. The process was just excellent from start to finish and working with both Audi of Minneapolis and Audi Exclusive program was simply a pleasure. Everybody was so patient as it took over a month to settle on the interior options and with every change we would wait for the renders from the design team at Audi Exclusive. Friday could not come soon enough.

That's awesome man! I believe my exclusive S7 is at the port here in Houston. This kind of worries me because a tropical storm is approaching. Anywho, congrats. You should see a picture frame above the text box when you respond to a post. That will allow you to upload a photo. I'm interested to see the oak sepia inlay.

They don't "attach" files in the way you're expecting here as far as I know. Instead, you need to upload photos and link them. Look to the top right of the AuduZine web page; click photos then my photos. Upload there. Once uploaded, click the photo to view it and then right click to bring up its properties--copy the URL/address to your clipboard. Now when you post, click the icon in the icon bar that is 2 to the right of the email icon and directly to the left of the movie reel icon--paste the copied URL in there.

There might be easier ways to do but I've not yet discovered them if they exist. It initially seems like a royal pain in the arse but after you've done it a few times, it's still a royal pain in the arse... so that's good!

Interested to see those wood inlays. Did they not allow you to pick the copper carbon fiber inlays like the s8 plus or just not a fan?

Yes we can, looks great! Congrats again. I see you went with the center console and controls. I wish I had at least done center console. It wasn't on the order guide that was given to me and I learned of the option when the order was already set. I'm considering getting the seat bases done with neidfaktor.

I didn't order my car, but is that a new option for 2017 or has it always been around? Does anyone know if you can order that as an OEM replacement part? I would be all over that and then swap it into my car...

Unfortunately not. The only way to get it done would be through companies like neidfaktor. They do a bunch of interior work. Some of which you have the option to send in your respective part or can order one wrapped. They do all work with authentic audi leather. You can even get a dash done for a pretty penny.

It wasn't on the order guide. The Audi designer sent me pics of an RS7 with a different interior stich to consider vs the white, and in those pics I see the center consoled wrapped in leather and I'm like what? It turns out it was an option for $1,600 I think. I had to sacrifice other options for it but I really like the look. I am a little concerned about the black plastic cubby/ashtray on the backside of it. Do you see how it's black plastic, vs the cup holder door/cover which is leather wrapped. I think that black little door stands out in a bad way.

I've got a quote from them for extensive work I'm hoping to get done. In hind sight I should have done the seat control area from the factory but Neidfaktor will fix it. I'm hoping to get a matching leather dash, but the reason it gets dicey is you know how the dash flows with the door upper trim piece? Well if you cover the dash with leather you should probably do the door trim, and that brings up the bill to a certain level.

Looks beautiful. I wanted the sports seats but got vetoed by the wife who likes cool air in the seat. I think the diamond/honey comb stitching looks like a million bucks.

Like the other guys up above...I too wished that I knew that it's possible to order my AE RS7 with leather center console instead of the plastic. It wasn't on the Audi Exclusive guide, so I thought it's not available in USA and only available in Europe. I wished I would have simply asked them if it's possible. It does make the car more luxurious.

BTW...I see some photos of AE cars in Europe online with leather wrapped lower instrument cluster. (the parts that your knee cap hits against) ..I wonder if you asked AE if it's also possible to order them even though it's not in the AE order guide.

Thanks Chuckey! I'm super excited! This is the nicest car I've ever bought. I never asked about the lower dash pieces. It makes you wonder since the center console wasn't on it, whether other options were and we simply don't know. What I for sure asked about, is the upper dash and door trim pieces, and the answer was NO! This is restricted to the A8/S8s, Q7s and R8s.

Have to say I'm not a fan of the interior, the chocolate brown seats with a black base just don't do it for me, and for a white car, the whole interior is an acquired taste. It's definitely exclusive!

Yes it is black plastic. I was quoted $3K to cover these with brown leather from the factory. I could not justify it, especially after seeing the renders, it is just a plain piece of brown leather without any stitching. I could not justify it. Through communications with Neidfaktor, it would cost <1,000 euros to get the same product basically.

So I picked up the car on Friday. I'm a little obsessive about driving possession in my cars, so it still doesn't feel right even after 400 miles, but I'm getting there. It'll probably take me a good month to settle into the perfect spot and perfect mirror setting. What else....oh there's a little cubby ahead of the ceiling console that is supposed to keep your sunglasses. It doesn't fit most glasses I've tried and is a little too finicky.

As for pros my oh my this car is amazing. It drives so comfortably over rough Minnesota roads despite the ridiculous 21" wheels, something I was genuinely concerned about. Also, it hauls a$$ and I am yet to go flat out. The powertrain is so effortless. The transmission I've left in auto, which is where it'll spend most of it's time, and it is smooth as butter. Overall there is a certain elegance with which this car goes on the road that I am really struggling to describe. I did not get that feeling with I test a 2014 S550 last year when I hadn't made up my mind. The stereo is incredible for my non professional ears and I'm glad I got it. No distortion whatsoever and crisp highs and lows. What else... it goes like stink from a stop. I can say this is one fine piece of engineering that I hope can put on many miles over the years.

I did buy the Audi care plan, their pre paid service plan which made financial sense. I also sprung for an Audi extended warranty for 8 years and 100,000 miles as I've learnt that this one is actually sold by Audi rather than a 3rd party, and I've heard horror stories from friends with Audis equipped with air suspension. I also got what I think is a good deal on it.

They actually look nicer in real life than in pictures. I was skeptical about the look and comfort but they're growing on me now.
