What color mirror caps for silver A4?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a Silver A4 with the mirror caps being pretty scratched up.

I was thinking of the brushed aluminum mirrors but I noticed the contrast is not as good as on a black or dark gray car.

    Any other options/thoughts?

    Thank you!

I'd do black. Had them on my old gray B7 and now on my red B7

I like the chrome on silver, or brushed on silver. Obviously this is all subjective. But I think silver(stock) or upgrade to the chrome/polished caps.

Here's what OEM S4 aluminum mirrors look like on a lake silver metallic car. Friend of mine snapped this shot the other day.

It's subtle, but unless you have black wheels and tint, I just don't think black mirrors look quite right.

Is it me only or are pictures from post #9 and #11 not showing up?

    Thanks!

Saw them - am convinced now - either body color or the matte aluminum look is the way to go. I have stock wheels as you can see in the above photos I posted and am looking for a look like the one shown in Post 11.

I'd say colour match them to your wheels or some other part of your car, like grill trim or whatever. My car, for example, is black and my wheel centres are a dark matte silver. So I matched my mirror caps to match. And now I'm in the process if matching the upper/lower grill trim and front/rear rings to match.
