Upgraded to the RS7 Performance .. mod questions

I finally pulled the trigger and decided to trade in my beloved RS5 for an RS7, and found an awesome deal on a used performance model (previous owner may be an Audizine member). The car was wrapped matte black, which looked insane, over the original mythos black, but the dealer had already started the process of removing it before I bought it.

As far as RS7 mods, I am looking to add an exhaust (preferably non-resonated, but not too extreme), clearbra/opticoat, and some extended paddle shifters. I am not too familiar with RS7 modifications, so if someone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone with the performance model can give their opinion on how the stock sport exhaust sounds in person that would be great, as I've only heard it through videos. I should be getting the car in within the next couple of weeks and couldn't be more excited to join the crew here!

Here are some initial pics from the dealer (not all of the wrap has been removed):

Congrats man! Post more pics when you get it. Did you not have to deal with the air bag recall?

Yes that is what I am currently dealing with. They told me it should be a couple weeks before they could ship it! That is, I can only put a down payment on it until the recall is dealt with, just gotta be patient haha.

Congrats! Great car, lovely color choice, too.

If you search for posts from me, you'll get some of what you're after including CF shift-paddle overlays.

Thank you! Might be a stupid question, but does the APR stage 1 tune void the warranty under Audi?

Search for Audi + tune + TD1... you won't like what you find, though.

Saw that owners are able to bring their car in for the fix on June 29.. I'm guessing cars being prepped for sale start the process on that date too?

Not yet but working on it.

Going back to the earlier topic: I can't advocate the tune enough... do it if you can shoulder the (potential cost of the) risk--it quite literally brings the car to life. Then, the wheels + tires--the stock ones, beautiful as they are, are too narrow. See my before and after pics... I can provide a few more if needs be.

APR only lists the tune for RS7, not RS7 performance. Does the same tune work or are the Performance Owners out of luck?

There are multiple P models with APR tunes including limey's. As he said you won't regret going Stage 1. The car will become an instant 10 second car.

Sweet ride! APR tune works for all models on the RS7. No real evidence if the P models have any real HP/TQ advantages over non-P models after the tune though. Would need to contact APR to make sure your box code is available. Mine wasn't but they had one ready in less than a week after providing them the details they needed to prepare one.

Sadly, agreed. Based on the numbers we're seeing, the P-models probably do lose their power advantage once tuned. That's not to say, though, that APR won't ever have a P-specific tune. I'm not trying to imply I've heard anything to that effect, rather the the additional power the P offers from the factory isn't achieved merely by increasing boost--there's new hardware in there, too. Given that, the possibility exists for it to be tapped by APR--one can only hope, right.

Congrats mate! I've done the APR w/ DP and deleted the first resonator off the sport exhaust....must say it is just right IMO, but I do prefer loud. The thing about it is, I can make it quiet switching the exhaust valve characteristics via comfort, individual etc...

Not sure about that APR created specific RS7 Performance tune because this car was missing and he got 660 at the wheels.

I don't understand what you're saying--what does that video have to do with the potential for APR to make a P-model specific tune. It also sounds like he's running something other than an APR tune. I'm a bit confused as to your point...

There are some threads about this from earlier this year. Ghost was pretty vocal on the forum. There is a thead specifically calling APR out to make a P-model tune. This P-model car had issues post APR tune and supposedly he worked with APR to get to some resolution with a special tune. Not really sure what actually happened. There was talk of an updated tune or possibly a P-model specific tune but to date I am not sure any of that actually occurred. Thus the "redemption" title in the video.

OK, sorta getting it now--so NyLawyer and Ghost are the same person or NyLawyer is citing Ghost's post/history (which I missed/didn't know beforehand)? Either way, I believe I understand.

That said--what is this "special tune" that Ghost appears to have--and where can I get one?
