So i am coming up on my 5000mi mark and have the Audi Care plan. Am looking to bring it in for the service but wanted to touch base with all the local Audi guys in here first. Being that this is my first Audi (and Stage II at that) can anybody recommend a Mod friendly Dealership???? Believe i will be getting flagged TD1, but believe since i had already paid for the Audi Care Plans that I should still be able to get those free of charge. Would like to try avoiding the TD1, at this time if i can, so if anyone can point me to a dealership that is somewhat mod friendly and one that won't have to hook up the OBD port for the 5000 mile service please let me know.

getting flashed back to a stock tune before going to the dealer is the only way you have a chance at not getting TD1'd. no experience with it myself, but that seems to sneak people through (not sure how much they look at/care about the flash counter but most people seem to be able to avoid it that way. again no personal experience cause im riding out my warranty before i do a tune.

What jjvwg said - flash back to avoid the TD1 flag....but I've also heard they can now detect when the software has been flashed. I have my B8 tuned but haven't had a need to go to the dealer since stage 1 oil consumption fix went in.

Of the 3 dealers in town, I think you'll have the best luck with Prestige based on others experience.

Text me Rodger and I will share some details with you.
There aren't really any mod friendly dealers. Your best bet is to flash back to stock completely and then keep your fingers crossed. However, I do have some connections that MIGHT lessen your chances at getting flagged.

If it were me however, I'd just take the car to Berg and pay him to do the service. It's what I always do.

If I was tuned and not wanting to be flagged TD1. I wouldn't post about being tuned and trying to not get TD1 in an open forum. Especially with the subject line being "Audi Dealerships...". I know a few cars that were TD1'd just because posted proof on forums.

I have the EPL stage 1 tune on my A6. I've flashed back to stock several times and have had no problem at Prestige.

BTW, your silver RS7 is pretty much perfect in every way. I hope when the day comes that you are ready to sell it, I can afford it!

Give Matt in Audi Service at Prestige Imports a call. Ask him about it. I know this is different than flashing the ECU, but I have a ton of VAGCom changes on my allroad. The only thing Prestige has ever said was to keep a list of the changes and coding in the glove box and if something happens and they reset all of them, they will put it all back to the way I had it.

I actually got an email yesterday from Prestige that Matt is no longer with Prestige. The note didn't elaborate but they wished him luck, so perhaps he left on his own terms. I sent him a text but haven't heard back. He was always great to me. I actually had a call into him about our Q so I guess I'll have to follow up with someone else now.

You could physically masking tape over your OBD port. It's your property to tape up however you please. Instruct them nicely they are not permitted to touch it.

I just simply asked Prestige not to scan my car each time, and they just never did. Though I was always worried a tech would just go through the motions and accidentally plug into the network. Hence the tape. I was tuned all through my warranty and never got TD1.

Sorry, I actually laughed out loud when I saw this. They were one of the most rude dealerships I had ever dealt with. Needless to say they didn't get my money and never will. After even attempting to deal with them they added me to all their spam bullshit and it took me an entire year to finally stop receiving mailers and phone calls from them, after asking repeatedly to be removed from any of their lists.

Don't be sorry. To each their own. There are multiple recommendations for Prestige in this thread and then about 4 threads down, a Prestige bad experiences thread. Rather than the blanket statement I made, I should've just said " I, personally, have had great luck with Audi Boulder".

Yep, I certainly see plenty of cases on both sides of the fence for pretty much any dealership. I personally had a really good experience at Audi Denver (McDonald), as did my parents, but I had a co-worker tell me that he had a horrible experience.

I'm not tuned, but I do have e-code xenons and an aftermarket silicone turbo inlet pipe on my P- B8 Avant. The first time I brought it in to Audi Denver, they took one look at the car and called me to ask if I was tuned saying that if I am, it's not a problem - they'll still do the work - but warned me that they had to plug in the computer and a tune would result in warranty denial. I thought that was pretty classy of them to warn me and ask before plugging in.

Other times, I haven't been too impressed with Audi Denver. Nobody is perfect, I guess.

Coming up on my 20k service on my S6. I live out southeast but work in Golden so I could use either Prestige or Denver (McDonald) Audi. I have AudiCare, so will be using a dealer. Which service department do folks like? Ever had any problems with employees joyriding cars?

Prestige is my dealership and they have ALWAYS taken great care of me. If have a buddy who works at Audi Flatirons in the parts dept. I don't know what their service dept is like, but I think they open in their new facility on Monday.
