Fidelity Warranty vs GEICO mechanical breakdown insurance.

My 2014 S6 warranty will expire october of this year and currently have GEICO mechanical breakdown insurance. Fidelity Warranty quoted me $2908 for 3yr/36k platinum coverage with $100 deductible. Geico Mechanical insurance is $65 per 6 months with $250 deductible. The fidelity warranty is not Audi branded becasue they told me that you must have at least 1 yr. of warranty life left to purchase that. Would I be safe with just the GEICO coverage or should I go for the Fidelity coverage? I think the Fidelity is more extensive in coverage. Anyone have similar experience with either ?

Not sure where you got quoted, but check with Troy Dietrich @ FD-Warranty. He works with AZ members and gets the best possible plan for the best rates.

I, personally, had an Audi Pure Protection (Fidelity) warranty on my 2010 CPO w/ $0 deductible. It was virtually indistinguishable from the factory warranty in my case. One of the benefits of the extended warranty is that Audi isn't required to scan and flag TD1, either. :)

The quote I got was from Tony, because I have less than a year left on warranty he cannot sell me an Audi branded warranty but he can sell me a warranty unbranded from Fidelity.

I would just read the fine print. While it's sleep-inducing, the answers are all there.

Read the Audi one as well, as a comparison, to get a general idea on what, if anything, might be lacking.

You read my mind! I am currently shopping for my extended warranty, even though my car is new, its barely going to be 3 weeks old and I already racked up 1K miles.

I too have the Geico warranty, but I am about decided to get the extended Audi warranty. I was offered 120K miles/10 Years for 4K. I figure that is nothing compared to what a major repair may cost me down the line.

The Geico one seems to be pretty damned good, however my main hold up on that is that the information on it is limited. At least as far as I can tell. But 7 years 100K warranty for about 120 a year, thats dope. lol
