    Seat swap

Has anyone swapped out the stock Q5 seats with A4/S4 (B8) seats? The Pistachio Beige option on the Q5 meant no sport seats and I want some seat bolsters. The A4 and A5 offered sport seats with nice, big seat bolsters.

FWIW, a family member recently looked into this on an A7. He was told by a dealer parts specialist that the the installation"kits" - harnesses for power adjustments and heat controls - were different as well. Obviously I'm not sure if that applies to the B8/.5 product line, but might be worth investigating. All in all, his dealer estimate was just over $7k. I know you're probably not looking for new replacement seats, but if any parts recyclers are pricing to that scale, it could get ugly. Good luck!

The s-line sport seats are prob an easier swap, and you'll have two tone interior haha.

FYI, not sure if this is still applicable, but i did a full interior swap on my S5 and i had to take it to the dealer due to "component protection". dealer sorted it out, but i believe it had to be connected to the audi network to be corrected.

We have S-line sports package, but with pistachio beige interior. So standard seats. Audi never released pistachio beige soirts seats for the Q5. Already have moor brown dash and other bits. Black would look terrible.

A7 is completely different platform. The Q5 is the same platform as A4/A5.

You need to switch the control modules when doing the seats to avoid airbag light.

Umm, duh? My point was that, from an A7 with sport seats to an A7 without them, the effort and cost were considerable.
