    Knocking when accelerating.

I have a B5S4 manual transmission and am new to this car. Have had it a couple years and slowly fixing what comes around. This week I have an issue come up. When I accelerate I hear and feel a light knocking from under my seat. But it only happens when I accelerate and the back of the car dips down. It happens in first and second gear. The sound has the same tempo in either gear and only under power. When I roll freely it goes away. I have a couple thought but not sure if im on the right path. I think it is either a bad wheel bearing, a bad cv joint on the front axle or the drive shaft is loose.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you check your rear diff bushings? It has 3, more common one is the one on the front where it meets the driveshaft

Driveshaft CV joints? Is it metallic sounding at all? Had to replace mine after thinking it was everything but those!

Check your center drive shaft carrier bearing. It sounds like yours is going bad or bad already. It will cause a thump from the center of the car when accelerating hard or when turning and accelerating.

I have a similar thing going on. I'm going to replace my trans and rear diff mounts and see what happens. I guess after that its the driveshaft itself.

Sounds like a cv or drive shaft

Mine only does it in 5th or 6th gear, full boost pulls on the highway. The weird part is it doesn't seem to be a regular noise like something spinning. I was starting to think my clutch was going. But it doesn't do it on hard launches or anything. Its very strange. I was hoping it was the CV that the dealer replaced while I was getting my tires changed, but it wasn't.

Anyway, I have new diff and trans mounts in my gaarge, just need a free afternoon to install. Maybe that'll do it. If not I'll take a look at my driveshaft.

After doing some driving and listening, I seem to be coming from the center of the car and corosponds with the speed of the trans. And now there is a squeaking sound along with the thumping. I'm very certain it is the center driveshaft support but will pull it off this weekend to see for sure.
Thank you all for your help.
