    Q7 3rd row car seats

Just received our Prestige Ink blue Q7 yesterday! Will upload pics shortly. However wanted some advice on car seat fitting.

We have 4 kids in car seats, fortunately we also have a minivan for our main car. The Q7 is the wife's car and we wanted the ability to fit four kids 'just in case.'

We liked the Q7 for having 5 latch anchors and plan to seat them accordingly:
    - Infant car seat on driver's side, second row
    - Forward-facing car seat on middle, second row
    - Passenger side, second row seat down

    - Booster on driver's side third row
    - Forward-facing car seat on passenger side third row

    Reasons being:
    - Having one car seat down in second row allows for easy access for kids to third row
    - Forward-facing car seat in third row behind the folded car seat allows for a little more leg room (wow, not much back there!)

Car seats - we have one Diono Radian RXT and another Britax boulevard. We may have to replace the Britax with a Diono to get two side by side in second row though.

    Thoughts?

Can't comment on placement but the DIONOs are my choice for many reasons (sturdy, airplane-certified, low thigh bolsters so you don't bonk heads trying to get them into the seat, great belt tension release mechanism, belts that nearly never get twisted, able to do cup holders on both sides of each seat, narrow enough to get three across, enough seat depth to keep kids rear facing for much longer) and for being large seats, when you add in the angle adjuster for rear-facing, they take up less legroom than almost any other seat. I have 2.5yo twins that look like 4 year olds) so they're rear facing and we keep them in 2nd row on either side with the third row for the nanny.

    Q7 3rd row car seats

I have a 15 model Q7 so can't comment coming from the same model.

Rear facing does not work well on driver side for me. I have my seat too far back for the car seat to fit. I'm not willing to move my seat forward and be uncomfortable driving. You and your wife may not have this issue. So our rear facing seat is on the pass 2nd row as my wife has her seat more forward than my seat. Our fwd face is on my side. Down side is I'm getting kicked the entire drive!

I hate the amount of space the rear car seat takes up.

I know in my car the one seat down is on pass side so this may not work for you guys to get in the rear.

Congrats on the new car and your large family!
