    Running 20x10 et25 on s6?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello everyone. I browsed endlessly on this topic and really could not find the answer i was looking for so ive decided to post another wheel tire fitment question. Ive decided to purchase a set of AG m580s but they only come in 20x8.5 and 20x10. For the sake of concavity id really prefer to go with 20x10. He said if i decide on 20x10 i need a et25 to clear brakes but that the wheel would stick out past fender. He sent me a pic of an s6 with the 20x10 et 25 and said it sits rather flush but likely cambers / suspension were adjusted . My question is anyone running 20x10 et25 on their s6 and does it creep past the fenders?

    He also recommended 255 instead of 265/35/20 ? I was considering 265...

Lastly i plan on purchasing a cete lowering module in the next month or so. Will this be an issue at all if i go with 20x10s all around .

Here is a red s6 the fella at AG sent me .

Also not trying to offend anyone or their knowledge on the matter because i dont know much but i would prefer feedback from c7 /s6 owners who are running similar setups.

    Thanks in advance

Here's a calculator for figuring out wheel offset and clearance/poke. I believe the stock wheels are 20x8.5 et45.

20x10 Et35 is the way to go. It leaves the wheels flush.

I'm running 20x9 ET25 and while the wheel is inside the fender, the 265/35 tires protrude ever so slightly. You can see my photos here: http://robcheng.com/s6bbs

The S6 in the photo is a C6. You might want to check with the wheel guy whether they have experience specifically with the C7 as I suspect the brakes aren't the same on the C6. Before I decided on the BBS, my local shop test fitted a 20x10 ET30 that cleared the brakes, but I don't recall the wheel model since I didn't care for the style. However I do recall it protruding past the fender a little.

One last note, a 255 (and probably 265 too) will result in some stretch when mounted on a 10" wide wheel. This is likely why they recommended this size since it will provide additional clearance from the fender.

Looks like the wheel will extend out 39mm farther than the stock wheel, if the stocks are 8.5 wide et45. That's quite a bit. I recommend measuring against the stock wheel to get an idea what it will look like.

20x10 et25 will not work as your wheels will be sticking out, and would be really bad up front. It might work on a C6 S6 or A7/S7, but definitely not a C7 S6. If anything you would probably want to run et45 all around. However if you want an aggressive fitment, et40 up front and et 30 in back is as far as you would want to push it, but I would recommend slightly less.

They won't even be close to fitting in that width and offset. If the AG guy is telling you et35 won't fit that may apply to the wheels they have but it certainly will on a wheel that's supposed to be on the C7 S6 in the first place.

I've had just about every size and offset on my S6 and can discuss this with you at length if you'd like. Shoot me a PM and I'll happily share my thoughts and experience.

Iron, i just installed AG 590's 20x10 et 25's and i will tell you they 100% stick out past the fenders. With a 10" wheel you would never get away with et35 as there isn't much room for these wheels either. I am still trying to decide if this is the setup i want, and i will try and grab a couple pictures if you want. Shoot me a PM.

20x10 +35 with 265/35-20 is a great fit if you're lowered. I had no rubbing with that even though 21x9.5 +32 with 255/30-21 rubbed very slightly in the front. Neither of these will rub in the rear. 20x10 +25 could work but you would need to stretch a tire to get the clearance.

This is a stupid question but does +25 offset vs say +35 offset mean that the wheel is pushed out further towards the fender? The +35 would be more inside the fender?

Correct, it is +35mm from the centerline of the wheel width so wheel widths matter when considering offset. The closer you get to 0 and negative offset the more outward the edge of the wheel goes.

10" wide +35 is 10mm inward compared to 10" wide +25. Online calculators make it easy to compare widths, some do decent with tire sizing too which changes how much or less chance there is of rubbing. Lots of crazy offsets can fit with camber and tire stretch.

Thats the stance im looking for! Nice color btw. Thank you. However Ive decided to hold off on purchasing the ag wheels and keep the search going until i find a lighter wheel. Wheels are a new thing for me and im really indecisive. Anyone looking to sell a set of wheels fitted for their s6 pm me.

That's the same setup I'm looking to run. Could I trouble you for any more pictures? Maybe from almost straight ahead? I am trying to decide if the wheel and tire will poke out too far? I'm lowered 10mm over stock. I feel like it might work? I just don't want the tires throwing stuff on the side of the car when I am driving the back roads. Maybe 275 is too much in that case? IDK. Thanks for posting your setup!

20x10 et35 fits fine on the front. I can lower my s6 in the front with the cete module. Clearing the front brakes will all depend on the wheel design, you will not know if it will clear at et35 or et25 unless you test fit it.

20x10 et35 sticks the wheels out slightly in the rears even with rear camber adjustment. 20x10 et35 will stick out a lot.
