2014 Audi Q7 Trailer Hitch Question

Hey Guys,

Have a the tow package on my 2014 Audi Q7. The time has come for me to actually use it and I'm trying to figure out what I actually need.

I know I need the actual ball hitch, but do I need some kind of special connectors? I'm confused about the connector part(unsure if I need anything). There aren't any obvious connectors anywhere currently but there is a plate to the left of the hitch. I unscrewed 4 screws to remove the plate, and behind it was a connector that went into it from the back. Thinking I need something to mount it to be mounted from the front.

I would suggest a brake controller depending on how much weight you are towing

Same thing as Audi OEM - but way cheaper - https://www.amazon.com/Pollak-11-893...JSSV26SES18BP9. I used this on my 2013 & 2017 Q7s.
Then just a standard 2" drawbar & ball to match your individual requirements.

Autozone carries the part. You will have to get longer screws that screw into the plate area and new connector . I had to learn the hard way.
