The 6/2 blower is my blower.

I can tell you guys I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL waiting for things to be done when I know what to expect. I have waited 9 weeks for a set of custom wheels and was told right up front it would take around 8 weeks. I never bothered them once until the 8 week mark just to ask for an update 1 time.

I have been wating 9 months now for my custom short barreled rifle to be ATF approved so I can receive it. I knew it could take this long so after 6 months I call just once per month for updates as I was told to do.

With Jokerz, I was unfortunately not told there would be a 3 week lead time. That is totally acceptable to me btw. My only concern was zero communication after sending my blower. Not even an email to say it was received or when it might be worked on.

When I reached out multiple times just to check to make sure it was in hand and to ascertain some type of idea how long it will take (even it if takes two months, i dont care) I received no reply.

It should be noted that when I first spoke with Jokerz Performance in May to discuss this project, I sent him photos of other blowers and asked that he could look at mine and come up with some ideas on how to improve performance over the standard intake side porting. He discussed options and specifically stated he would be in touch with me to ask for very specific engine bay measurements because he had an idea to increase capacity / do some welding. We also discussed that I tend to do controlled testing before and after dynos, before and after data logging, and before and after acceleration runs. He was pleased to hear this.

None of this custom project occurred. I received zero communication on the project we discussed and he proceeded with the standard port job.

I'm not upset, perhaps a bit disappointed but it is what it is. Im glad Jokerz is out there doing this and if you are looking for a decent standard port job with poor communication and a fair price i'd have no issue going with them.

Unfortunately I turned down another SC shop who was in excellent communication and also wanting to proceed with a more exotic custom porting project bc I thought Jokerz was the best option.

EDIT: after posting this i did receive a very thorough group of texts from brett at jokerz explaining exactly what he ended up doing with my blower and why he went this route as well as why other routes we had discussed were not likely to be the best to pursue. i do appreciate his explanation and improved communication and i look forward to reviewing the work!

This is not a rant, just a description of the events.

The only guy in Canada I would send my blower to for porting is Matt...he's chopped (literally) these things up more than anyone lol

^Mike I completely understand where you're coming from and as I said before, I experienced the same lack of communication during my process. This is his biggest downfall imo. He is a really nice guy and is a horsepower junkie like all of us too, but I think he is just too busy to not have a receptionist to aid in proper communication to his customers.

Shit man that sucks he didn't follow up with your ideas, especially since you were obvious willing to pay additional for it. Maybe toss on the Jokerz ported one to do some testing and send your stock blower to the other company to see what they can come up with? I know it's extra out of pocket costs paying for porting both, but you should be able to sell the Jokerz blower easily for all you have in it once you're finished.

Either way post up your findings once you do some testing brotha!

Thanks brother. Yeah i'm not trying to be a difficult customer, just wanted to be transparent in my experience. You know guys like us man, its never done. I'm sure more exotic port jobs may be in the future. I may do exactly as you stated. As long as the blower gets back to me safe and works at least as well when it was OEM on the car and hopefully a bit better i'm cool. Killer chiller goes on JUL 17 and unitronic appears they may want to do some higher PR software testing so fingers crossed.

...plus if you end up porting both, im sure others would pay a premium to pick up one or the other without having the 2 week turn around Mike. Also you are going to have a lot of es-12a left, lol

Excited to read about OP's finding on the porting.. waiting for the ported TB from Isaam too.. hopefully an extra 30-40whp/tq across the whole powerband is possible with these 2 mods ( which is pretty much what a DP felt vs stg 2)

For the people going out and buying a spare blower we should clarify which blowers are compatible with which car or are they all the same? I heard something recently about the newer S4s having a clutch in the blower.

As long as they are USA cars u can go any year s4 or s5. The a6 sc changes in 2016. You need to go 2015 or older. I believe this is also true for the q7.

    Jokers Performance Blower Porting

The only place in America that supplies eaton based blower parts has confirmed to me. That the only parts we can service in house are the housing bearings. The snout I was told was unserviceable. Now that does not mean I can't but I would like to try and get my hands on a bad snout and blower to try and come up with a way to service them. As of right now until we find a way to service the blower fully. We recommend getting a low mileage unit off eBay or as a back up if porting. We would like to keep units with low miles in house. High mileage units I would to try and stay clear for right now do to parts availability. That way if they are bad we can fix an issue. I'll keep you guys posted on this page as much as possible.

Few more blower down the road.. is there anything else that can be done in term of porting / modification to the S/C to maximize its efficiency ? (i.e: add more volume by welding a plate ? change the Turbine shaft for a more efficient one ? Port intake ?)

    Thank you !

It is also true for the Q5 and A7.

The engine code is CREC, you should be able to dig some information up searching that.

Also, the front of the blower looks clearly different

The CREC pulley bolts on while ours slides on.

Try reaching out to one of the performance shops across the pond to see if the charger bolts up. Might be a decent OEM+ upgrade if it does and you can find it cheap.

It uses a electromechanic clutched snout and unclear if our MAP sensors can swap over (although they may). The elect clutch though will likely not play well with our setups. Who knows though. I guess you could leave it unhooked completely and see if it works. The sensors use fully digital SENT technology so you'd have to figure a way to use ours. Youd also have to have a machine shop make you a 4 bolt pulley if you were going high pr over 3.17 or so.

Eh, huge crank pulley might take care of the latter problem.

Looking at pictures of it, all the sensors along the back are different and there is the extra sensor you mention mounted on the front. Probably a no go but you never know.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but the "AN" suffix has a different vacuum assembly for the manifold flaps vs the "L"

Was just looking at an L and then dicovered this on alibaba:
    https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...17005.1.0fqomC

How do we keep from getting scammed on ebay if all you have to do is change the plate from an authentic blower to a knock off?

Appreciate it sir, looking forward to your results!!

No I was laughing at the alibaba post. I think it's crazy that they'll re-manufacture everything/anything. They might as well copy an entire engine...

Ah, sorry I'm a bit touchy today due to writing a school paper on a holiday weekend, just pisses me off. Funny Reddit on knockoff products for the hell of it.
