The 6/2 blower is my blower.
I can tell you guys I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL waiting for things to be done when I know what to expect. I have waited 9 weeks for a set of custom wheels and was told right up front it would take around 8 weeks. I never bothered them once until the 8 week mark just to ask for an update 1 time.
I have been wating 9 months now for my custom short barreled rifle to be ATF approved so I can receive it. I knew it could take this long so after 6 months I call just once per month for updates as I was told to do.
With Jokerz, I was unfortunately not told there would be a 3 week lead time. That is totally acceptable to me btw. My only concern was zero communication after sending my blower. Not even an email to say it was received or when it might be worked on.
When I reached out multiple times just to check to make sure it was in hand and to ascertain some type of idea how long it will take (even it if takes two months, i dont care) I received no reply.
It should be noted that when I first spoke with Jokerz Performance in May to discuss this project, I sent him photos of other blowers and asked that he could look at mine and come up with some ideas on how to improve performance over the standard intake side porting. He discussed options and specifically stated he would be in touch with me to ask for very specific engine bay measurements because he had an idea to increase capacity / do some welding. We also discussed that I tend to do controlled testing before and after dynos, before and after data logging, and before and after acceleration runs. He was pleased to hear this.
None of this custom project occurred. I received zero communication on the project we discussed and he proceeded with the standard port job.
I'm not upset, perhaps a bit disappointed but it is what it is. Im glad Jokerz is out there doing this and if you are looking for a decent standard port job with poor communication and a fair price i'd have no issue going with them.
Unfortunately I turned down another SC shop who was in excellent communication and also wanting to proceed with a more exotic custom porting project bc I thought Jokerz was the best option.
EDIT: after posting this i did receive a very thorough group of texts from brett at jokerz explaining exactly what he ended up doing with my blower and why he went this route as well as why other routes we had discussed were not likely to be the best to pursue. i do appreciate his explanation and improved communication and i look forward to reviewing the work!
This is not a rant, just a description of the events.
