    Gentlemen, I don’t know why there is an argument if the WMI is helpful or not.
    Here is an old log of my previous MKV 2.0T and I used to use it for daily drive for more than 3 years with WMI activated!
    I don’t know if your cars are different but in all cars with WMI I saw here, if the WMI dialed properly then there is no serious issues!

    Hey guys I'm looking to set up a Water/Meth kit in my car because my pulley ratio is pretty aggressive ( SC pulley 57mm / Crank 192mm). It's been really hot where I live lately and it's causing knock in the system. My intake temperature is getting pretty high, and as a reault is causing timing issues. I have an S4 6MT. The tune I'm using is IE E40 Throttle body tune with crackles. I have everything I need to run the tune heat exchangers etc. IE told me that I will need to get a Water/Meth system at the level I'm at. On a good day I can run E47 in the car with no issues. I need to know these things:

    1) Which Water/ Meth kit is ideal for my tune with all parts needed?

    2) Is it doable to install it myself?

    3) How many hours does a shop charge?

    4) Any shops in the Tri State Area (I live in Philadelphia) that does install that you would recommend?

    Running meth with a turbo and an air to air intercooler is much different than with a liquid cooled supercharger. Water/meth is awesome on turbo cars. It’s way more efficient.

    There’s no real good way to get proper cooling benefits with this car unless you spray right at the IAT sensor or before it, which isn’t easy. You have to install your nozzles right in the side of the blower and grind some material away to get nozzle clearance.

    Most people only see a 5C or 9F reduction in IAT’s with meth on this car where a turbo car can see sub ambient intake temps. A 9F drop in IAT’s can be done just by driving on a cooler day or running more water in your coolant mix.

    Water meth on this car is mainly to supplement fueling and the octane boost and even then it’s pretty inefficient. It clearly does work, just not all that well compared to a turbo car.

    It’s crazy seeing IAT’s actually drop instead of rise on a turbo car.

    It would be cool if someone made a riser plate to raise the blower and relocate the IAT sensors on each bank below or inline the meth nozzles.

    Don’t know if that’s even possible or if there’s enough room. Just a random idea

    Let's talk Water/Meth

    Finished up my AEM install!!! Installed the tank, pump, and controller in the firewall, mounted the led switch just under the back lip of the hood next to the windshield wash sprayer on the drivers side. It’s perfectly visible from the drivers seat and low profile that no one else can see it. Tied onto my ECS boost noodle for the controller and ran two nozzles, one to the tip of my cold air intake and the other spraying into Iabed’s 84mm adapter plate. After some runs I’ll see if I want to add a 3rd nozzle into the blower bypass elbow but that’s in the air atm. This and the upgraded TB should get me sub 11’s, once Shane ports my blower I’ll be “done”.

    Bumping this back up since we now have a tuner that makes a real water meth tune that cuts fuel to account for the meth and actually adds timing advance to make 93 and meth fast. Jackal Motorsports.

    I’ve been running Jackal’s 93 and meth tune but in my case it’s tuned for 80% ethanol and 20% water. With this tune I’m currently running 11.1@125 and 8.7 second 60-130’s. And I’m doing that with only 23-24 degrees of timing advance. 4-5 more degrees than what a 93 octane tune and about 10 degrees less than an E40 tune.

    AEM meth kit, 630cc’s of 80/20 ethanol.

    This is my preliminary testing on snow tires. I expect the 60 foot, 0-60 and ET to go down much further with my new summer tires.

    Here’s an update with my water meth set up. On 93 octane and 600cc’s of VP Speed Sauce Plus I’m able to run 10.7’s with Jackal’s 93 and meth tune with the Vast ported blower.

    Seats and spare out, Hoosier tires and 17 inch Enkei wheels. With a proper water meth tune you can compete with the E40 guys. This is with 23 degrees of timing advance VS 33-34 that E40 tunes run. A 7 second 60-130 with 93 in the tank is nuts.

    Those are fantastic times.

    We don't have E fuels easily accesible here in NJ, so I am considering upgrading to something similar soon for my car. (93 and M-inj.)

    Where are you spraying the meth on your setup (TB? under blower in runners)?

    What are you using to manage the meth injection?

    I am trying to get an idea of what I would need to piece a kit together. Thanks man.

    I use a very basic AEM meth controller and 1 600cc nozzle right in my throttle body adapter.

    Obviously that 10.77 is a hero weather time but it runs 10.8’s very consistently. It actually shocks me every time I do a run because the logs are so conservative.

    Meth injection should mostly be looked at as a fueling mod on this platform. Don’t expect much on E40 with meth because on E40 you’re most likely getting all the timing advance your tune is asking for and adding more doesn’t really get you anywhere.

    But on 93 and meth you can make a lot more power with meth with a proper meth tune over a straight 93 octane tune.

    If I had to guess my 93 and meth tune makes about 25-30 more HP than my straight 93 tune.
