What aftermarket parts can transfer from B8 to B9 S5?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking into buying a new 2018 Audi S5, wondering what aftermarket parts can be transfered to the new car from my 2011 S5. I know its a new chassis so assuming the AWE track exhaust won't fit the B9. I have H&R street coilovers, will they fit on the 2018? i would love to transfer my wheels, they are DPE SC5 20x10 all four corners with 275/30/20 Dunlops. Is this wheel setup too wide for the B9? I haven't seen any posts on mods for the B9 so I'm sure these are questions everyone is wondering. Maybe Mops the fitment guru can chime in. Thanks!!

H&R should have coilovers out soon for the B9. The wheel fitment has not changed and your current wheels should fit just fine.

I was told the wheel fitment for the b9 is less aggressive than the b8/8.5

I test fitted my RS7 spacers on the S5 Sportback, seemed to be about right. 17.5mm rear and 12mm front. Ended up tossing these wheels on since they were collecting dust.

Thanks, they look great. The blacked out theme with the red calipers really look sharp. I think I will probably go with 20's on mine.
What did you do with the orange marker? Did you vinyl/tint it?

20s will look awesome and after measuring the rear strut and edge of my rim, I think 11s will fit if someone wanted to go that route. I removed the headlights and separated them to get to the Amber reflector. It just pops off. Thankfully no oven needed unlike a past Audi ive had. The only thing is the led behind the reflector is Amber. I would like to turn it off with vagcom or Obd eleven if possible. It's not bad since it's a single LED but think it would look cleaner at night.

No rubbing issues with your setup at all (not sure what your tire setup is though)? I would be happy with 10" width on wheels but I heard that wheel fitment is limited on this B9 A5/S5 platform. On the headlights, nice work. I did that once a long time ago with my first car but would be too chicken to try it with a new car lol.

In any case, fantastic work. Your car is the best looking B9 S5 I have seen so far. Gives me some inspiration for when I get mine in.

Yea, the previous 5 would take 20x10 ET25 on 275 no problem. That setup on the B9 5 cars pokes from the fender 6-8mm. So definitely no more 20x10.5 ET25 on 275/285 like we used to run.

Thank you, I dont have rubbing but I did remove that one front fender liner screw that's historically notorius for making noise just in case. I also have one of the more narrower 275s on the car so the tire stretch on the 10.5 definitely helps.

I feel like the new sweet spot is going to be 20x10 ET35 on 275/30. There are going to be come very lonely 20x10/10.5 BBS CH and CI sitting at headquarters in GA.

another local member is running 275/30/20 VFF103 +30 wheels, but had to use a 5mm spacer in front to clear the brakes. Waiting on him to send me a frontal pic to see what the poke looks like visually.

Please do post. That sounds like 5mm+ poke to me.

Vorsteiner now has a 20x10 ET30 made for larger brakes. So if the extra 5mm bothers him, there is an option.

Other than the 103, I wonder how the 107 would look in carbon graphite on a florett.

Could be hot! Only issue I foresee is the same we've dealt with on the Q's. Brake clearance. But thankfully the B9's have a nice looking larger caliper, so we cannot complain. We'll just have to wait and see what fitments clear.

Look Fantastic, you must only drive on airport runways with those.
