S6 weighs HOW much...?!?!?!

Weighed my car the other day on the scale at the local landfill.

Dunno what its rated accuracy is, but my 2013 S6 weighed in at 4560 lbs, including 1/4 tank of fuel and 250 lbs. of passengers (me) and cargo (my backpack plus some random stuff in the trunk).

I figure when I was last at the drag strip (scale there is broken), my running weight would have been about 4480 lbs, with less fuel, no spare and no random stuff in the trunk. Given the 113 mph trap speed from my best 1/4 mile runs, dragtimes.com suggest 497 CHP, which sounds about right.

My S8 only weighs about 200 lbs more than your S6. It weighed 4510 when I last weighed it at the dragstrip (1/4 tank, no spare, and no driver).

You can REALLY feel the mass of these things when switching cars, but they are so powerful it is easy to overlook (even unmodded).

My S7 is my daily driver, but this time of year I'm often in a 2,850 lb Boxster and the difference is shocking! The mass of the Audi is immediately noticeable and the lack of low end torque in the Porsche is just as noticeable. Does make me forget the drive select in the S7 though - just leave it in dynamic since it feels fine and I completely forget about comfort mode ;-)
