    2017 B9 A4 with 034 Motorsport's Lowering Springs kit...

So on Saturday we installed the 034 Motorsport Lowering Spring kit on the B9 A4. According to 034 it should have dropped the car an extra 1.1 inch but with my unscientific measuring technique I did not get that 1.1 inch drop... Perhaps the new suspension must settle in more to see the final result... I'm schedule to get an alignment in two weeks (needed because we had to drop the rear sub frame). On May 15th I will track the car and will be able to give you my report on how the car handles with this new setup. However I can tell you on our very rough roads up here in the Montreal area the ride is stiffer no doubt but still within my comfort zone for a road car. I did notice immediately under hard acceleration while coming out of a corner that the car will not squat down on its rear suspension (allowing the front end to lift) like it did with the OE suspension and man did it track out of that corner like on rails with no understeer. Should be interesting on the track!

I wish I would have had more time to take better pictures because these ones don't really do justice to the drop because of lighting. However the close up of the front and rear suspension taken with the flash show a better view of the drop because you can see inside the wheel well. It's fair to say that at this point that there is at least a half inch drop.

The initial drop seems to have settle around 3/4 of an inch... Perhaps there is another 1/4 inch to come.

    It's not an S4, it's a A4 with a S-Line package.

Seems to take two weeks for springs to completely settle in my experience.

Yup. It does take around 2 weeks and around 1k kms for the springs to settle. Mine has settled down well.

I forgot to mention in the original post that the initial drop seems to have settled around a 3/4 of an inch drop... Perhaps there is another 1/4 of an inch to come.

Ride quality so far? I like the looks but looking for the more comfortable option in lowering springs.

Well that all depends on what your comfort zone is. Considering we have some of the worst roads in North America here in Montreal, especially after our winter months I am happy with the ride comfort offered with these springs. I have been in cars with way stiffer rides than this one that's for sure.

I have the 034 springs on my non-sport car and the ride quality is as good as before, if not better. And it handles better too compared to before. Turn-ins are tighter.

Can you elaborate on this? My installer said they had to drop the subframe as well because they couldn't remove one of the bolts on the right rear, there wasn't enough clearance to back it out. He had never seen it before and assumed someone had a made a mistake on assembly, but now that I've heard it again I'm wondering if it is by design.

my reply wouldnt be too helpful as I dont know where everything is, but my mech dropped the lower "A" arm (IIRC) that affects the alignment... and all said and done in 30 mins...

I second Vipin... I'm in Toronto so most roads are not too bad... and I didnt feel a difference other than I am able to corner way harder... I've done about 3500-4000kms on the 034 springs already.

Well that's quite impressive, in Mexico we have the worst roads in the world, so looking not to sacrifice much comfort vs stock Sport suspension, at my 40's you can imagine comfort is priority but looks are always important.

The original pics were taken down because I deleted them from my photobucket account... To make things worse, I can't even take pics of the car now because my son bought it from me about 10 days ago and I had removed the 034 suspension kit from the car prior to him getting it, sorry.

If anyone is interested in a 034 lowering kit for the B9 with their rear sway bar only and their beautiful front strut braces, let me know.

I loved my B9, best A4 ever but it was time to move on to something more serious...
