Anyone ever use the Yakima roof top tent? Looks like only the flush roof rails will support the weight of their system so good news for my b8 avant. Curious if anyone has any experience with it.

I watched the ladder break and slice open someone's head during a demo...only experience I have.

Tepui makes badass rooftop tents tho!

Amazed that they listed the avant (with the panoramic sunroof) and flush rails as acceptable for their roof tent. Might go down and try it out - although I worry it may put undue stress on the panoramic sunroof. callaghan, have you had a rooftop tent on your avant? seems like an ideal car, low height and therefore easy to load up.

I've never had one on mine, but I've tested them out before on other vehicles. They're rad, but unless you plan on using it all the time, it's a big waste of space/money haha.

Heimplanet makes these rad tents for the back of Audi's...and they pack up into a dufflebag that you can easily keep in your trunk. Badass!

That's pretty badass...It's only $3,500 too! It says it's for the Q's...do you think it would work on an Avant???

Yeahhhh not cheap. But, it is alot easier to bring you and store, and fits a whole family. Rooftops are rad but for a single or couple. I'm sure you get it work on an avant with alittle tweaking and or magnets?
