    B6 A4 Front bumper

    Hi back again,

I've decided on keeping my car and have the body work fixed and eventually put some tuning work into the car. I took the car (b6 a4 1.8t non usp) to a local body shop to get some of the repairs appraised, and was looking to replace my two piece bumper to a one piece like the s4. I found the oem s4 bumper on ecs tuning but its $715 and still would need to be painted, is there anywhere I could find a s4 bumper for less than $700? Also from what I understand the swap from the two piece bumper to the one piece s4 bumper should be a direct swap correct?

    Thanks

EDIT: Ive found this one but I dont know how reputable the site is, this seems almost too good to be true. http://www.discountbodyparts.com/cat...?dbpcid=gglpla

Yes, the S4 front bumper bolts right up, you'll just have to swap over crash bar, horns, etc. The fogs are different, so the A4 ones will not work without modification. Toe hook cover is the same, but the headlight washer covers are different as well. I would just look for a local S4 partout, and pick up a complete bumper. I picked up a S4 front bumper, rear bumper, and headlights for $750 about a year ago from a local partout. It was even painted the right color already. I ended up selling the front bumper for $400 with grilles + fogs. Just to give you an idea of what price range you should be expecting.

I bought this one and some s4/sline fog grills as living in Australia the shipping is ridiculous and would cost in excess of $1200 to get one to my door(after usd to AUD conversion).

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/232102768050

If you are not buying OEM, but want new to paint, buy CAPA certified body parts. Much better fit than most aftermarket.

My car does not have the headlight washers, they just have the covers one the bumper. What kind of modification would be necessary for the fog lights? The guy at the body shop called a few salvage yards and found a replacement door for me so I think I will give him a call and see if he will be able to find an s4 bumper. The tabs on the passenger side of my valence are broken off between a bad mechanic and some unfortunate occasions with a parking lot block the lower valence is having trouble staying on the car, the guy at the body shop says he can just fix it by taking it off and putting it back on but I dont know if I want it back on if the tabs are broken, I dont want it to break again and just waste more money on it .

What about the ultrasport front valence? Would that fit just right on my car without any modification? its just the valence not the whole bumper.

Some modification is required. Ton's of people here have done it though, myself included. Here's the DIY I followed:

EDIT: You can find the valence on eBay for a about half of what ECS has sells them for. It wont be OEM but will fit almost perfectly. I purchased mine for about $120 and am quite happy with the way it turned out.
