Uneven Front Brake Rotor Wear Pics

Alright brake-o-philes, what say you? Piston retracts, slide pistons were dry but not seized at all, rotor set screw was not in place due to the bolt head having sheared off. What's going on here? Rotors are Stoptech and pads are Hawk Ceramics.

Backside of front left of rotor rust ring.

    Wear on pad

New set screw and hole wear the set screw is supposed to go through is plugged with the original set screw where the screw head broke off.

Clean everything up, lube the guide pins thoroughly with high temp silicone. Those guide pins shouldn't be dry and can cause this.

    Im with you on this.

I just replaced my calipers (to b8 s4 calipers), s4 rotors, Stoptech lines, and posi quiet pads.

Bed them correctly but here are some pictures taken with around 50 miles on the new pads and rotors

The passenger side was squealing pretty bad, so I took the caliper off, removed pads cleaned everything up. Sanded the guide pins with wire wool, lube them up like crazy and added new pin boots. Then added more brake lube to the pads. Seems to have made the squealing better, but I believe it is still there. Need to drive the car more to find out for sure

What gives with the wear ?

Ps. Excuse the terribly dirty car/wheels

I've got a similar situation on one of my rears but the whole pad isn't making contact with the rotor. On one side it's working fine but on the other, you can still see the hashmarks from the machining process. Slides pins work fine too. The piston spins inward fine. I got it to retract enough to install the new brake pad. Could it be stuck in somehow?

Lubed up the pins nice and good. Wow. What a difference in brake feel, no more vibration under braking either.
