6 M/T driver here, I just installed the non-resonated version on my car a few weeks ago and I am in love with it. My enjoyment of the car has greatly increased. Driving windows down with the nice weather and the sound is pure joy.

This is correct, on both versions the downpipes are resonated. The non resonated version has the rearmost mufflers omitted.
Which is great because rather than getting excessive noise and drone in the cabin it's really coming out the back of the car.

I am happy with the res on my dsg
I find the non-res version to be not loud at all when you're not getting on the car or going above 70 on the highway. When you do get on it though you get deep, clean sound.
A friend has the resonated version on his car, he says it's not much louder than stock and gets drowned out by the intake noise.
To each their own, buy what you like. (With that said, not everyone that likes more sound out of their car is a Civic boy racer

I believe so. Also I think the tips are modular, they have a tension/clamp at the end that you can loosen and remove if you wanted to change them. (For that matter you could probably do the same for the mufflers at the end as well if you wanted to change them to res or non-res) I am running the 100mm polished tips at the moment, I am still on the fence about them because they're huge.
