    2010 A4 Quattro Manual-Clutch replacement?

Hello Everyone, long time lurker here, but this is my first post. I have a 2010 A4 Quattro, manual transmission, with 103000 miles on it. Just recently I have noticed the clutch starting to feel a little different (less responsive), and I think it may be time to replace the stock clutch. Anybody here had this done recently? What did you pay for the parts and install? I have a local shop here who I have always gone to, but they charge way too much for labor, so I am looking around at other places. Any info I can use as a baseline would be a ton of help. Thanks!

What's "way too much" for you?

Most people spend $1500 or so on the parts and expect about 8 hrs labor.

In the past, they have charged somewhere between $150 and $180 per hour depending on the job

I got a Spec Stage 2+ for ~$900 and 8 hours at $80 an hour so about $1,600. They replaced the main engine seal (you should do this) and a couple other things. This was done in Lancaster PA by a shop that just works on VWs and Audis and has done a bunch of Spec clutches on A4s. They did not suggest replacing the flywheel and just "roughed it up" before putting it back together. Very happy with it after about 6 months of daily driving. It's supposed to handle a ton more torque than my APR stage II puts out. Only cost $50 more for the extra capacity and it doesn't operate any differently than the stock clutch that I can tell. Except it doesn't slip of course.

What A4 clutch costs $1500? South Bend? I didn't think they were that much.

I'm estimating clutch and flywheel. But yeah southbend is what I would buy. You can spend more and you can spend less.
