I'm not saying in this particular instance eurocode outsourced or china company copied, but the relabeling/reproducing happens everywhere. It's inevitable with almost any market.

I did a bunch of the cheap eBay downpipe installs for many local e92/e90 folks back in the day and they fit amazing for being less than $200. Yes it may be china steel (which I think in steel industry might not be the best, but it sure isn't the worst) but I'm sure the Chinese factories have their copy-manufacturing processes down to the t and you can't really be too upset on them if they have maybe 1 issue every 100. It's freakin cheap.

I strongly believe in you get what you pay for. But at the same time, there are many times you don't get what you pay for either. (For example $1000 note 7 phones that blew up)

The issue with any replica or knock off is the quality of materails used almost everytime. I can tell you first hand that to make long tube headers for these cars with or without cats cost more in quality material alone , not including fab cost , r&d blah blah ..
If you are not using T409 min. And preferably T304 the steel will warp , crack etc. overtime with exposure to extreme heat. Quality T304 bends in 1.5 - 2 " are $10 -$15 per bend.
Look at any long tube header for these cars and do the math.

It has been said plenty in here already , you get what you pay for !

Yes you will lol My exhaust has non res downpipes and with test pipes it's really loud even at part throttle between 2500-3000 rpm. Looking for a way to fit in some resonators, I think it would calm that rpm range down. That being said it sounds pretty damn sick at WOT

I believe that stasis dp has a x pipe in it..
Borla is the only exhaust I've had with the headers out of 7 different exhausts this has no drone at all..
Very quiet on the hwy but very loud and raspy over 4k rpm..

Sounds like headers definitely sound better than my test pipes. Mine is really raspy between 2500-3000 rpm. Sounds good otherwise and not much drone.

SSAC baby! Leery of pending $1,300 on a catback for a $12,000 car? How about $700 for the same exhaust plus downpipes? Yes, it uses thinner metal, doesn't quite have the same tone, and maybe won't last as long. But there are plenty of other maintenance items to handle on a 10 year old german sports sedan with two tiny overspun turbos buried between the engine and frame rails. And don't feel bad for AWE either - they recouped their R&D costs years ago and have been selling at a healthy margin ever since.

The B8's are rapidly approaching "last generation" status - just months away! The big names are moving on and the little guys are coming in to make more affordable mods (in line with the decreasing value of the chassis) and cater the growing portion of the owner base that will be willing to do things like install headers on jack stands in the driveway.

$55,000 car + $2000 headers + $900 shop install = normal

$22,000 car + $400 headers + a weekend in the driveway = also normal


It's the normal progression and it should be embraced.

Personally, I wouldn't trust a company that did such a poor job copying the images/text form Euro code. I can't begin to imagine how poor the welds & materials are.

To each there own.
The welds are fantastic (and I'm a tig welder by trade) but yes the material is a little thin..
I've had no issues at all with anything cracking for 6 or 7 months ive had them on and I don't drive my car easy..

I have no problem using SSAC China Copy Stuff for catback... but worried the headers will crack over time (give it a few more months s4matty), and that's a pain to repair/replace.

also LOL @ this pic as mentioned before. Straight up used EuroCode's picture with their watermark still on it. Eurocode's quality is much higher especially the collector.

Has anyone actually bought the Eurocode ones to even do a comparison. All I see are people bashing just from assumption that it's from China means it's cheap.

We've already been over this before. If do like S4Matty did and get them ceramic-coated, it will lessen your chances of cracking or having any issues he's been running them like this for a while with no issues. Welds and fitment are perfect

Yes that's the only reason why I ceramic coated them is to help prevent hot spots and cracking.

I do wonder, if I were to pursue more power which would mean f'ing w/ the cat's and this dips in to *subjective* territory but i do wonder what the *best sounding* set up could be as far as minimizing rasp and any other unwanted noise so as to keep in line w/ basically what the awe touring or track puts out w/ resonated downpipes.

I hear folks w/ test pipes complain, as well as headers and so forth ... maybe just stock exhaust w/ x-pipe / crown hi flow cats ¿... that'd be manageable right? what if I added headers? or a borla on top of all that... would i be able to pick up my daughter from elementary school w/o everyone looking at the guy in the audi whose car sounds uhhh something a little to young for my age?

That's what valvetronic exhaust or cutouts are for . I have the ipe valvetronic and love it can't wait to see what it sounds like with headers or testpipes

The borla sounds great with the headers.
It's very quiet on hwy (almost stock quiet) and very loud when you get on it.
A little less rasp would be nice but having no drone keeps me happy

Make sure you get a 90° elbow for the rear 02 sensors..
It doesn't look like they moved the rear bungs...The pass 02 sensor would hit the firewall without it..
Try and find a really shallow elbow to keep it tight to the header..
I used 034 90° and had to grind the top bolt part on the elbow abit still.
