    Extra "click" on gas pedal

When I floor the gas I sometimes notice what feels like a "click" of a button at the end of my push. Am I imagining it and there's nothing there? Or is there some button or something similar that gives some extra "oomph" or does something else when when floored and "clicked." If I'm crazy call me crazy.

I've heard that there are a couple different settings before, and that there some extra room. That would cause you to downshift down a couple gears or so. But I cannot confirm that.

Called a kickdown switch (I think? - actually not sure what its called). But yea its supposed to be there. Pretty much tells the TCU that the accelerator is fully pushed down and it'll shift to the lowest possible gear

Yes that's what it is called and what it does, it "kicks" it down into the lowest gear that is past redline, so even if it's only like 1-2k to redline it'll hit the gear

Audi and VW have had this feature on their automatic vehicles for quite sometime. I remember, my wife's old 2001 VW Jetta had this feature.

Really? This is my first auto in 18 years but I don't recall it on the few autos I had back in the day.

    Thanks all!
