    Help! 295/35/21 wont fit .................

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm on H&R OE and have mounted 295/35/21 Pirelli P zero on AG 510 21x10.5 ET15 and they are rubbing on the front! They spent 1 1/2 hrs trying to figure it out . Any suggestions? 3 or 5 mm spacer might work but then too much poke. 2107 SQ5 BTW.

10.5 ET15 is not a good fit up front. 10.5 ET22 is about max for a nice look and fit.

Pretty flush. Avante Garde sent them knowing what they were going on. Will 295s fit if we go ET22? Going to try 3&5mm spacer but i hate poke. ET 15 is perfect on rears .

You're already poking like crazy I assume?? Here is ET25 with heavy negative camber...

Are you sure it's 10.5 ET15. That is a reckless size to send out for an SQ. And where are you rubbing? Off to a 3-4 meeting FYI. Check back later.

    ET15 rear...

Tiny poke up front but perfect in back. Box says ET15, better check the wheels. Thanks for your help. Wheels came in to dealer 3 months ago and just got around to mounting today as winter is pretty much over. What a drag.................

Yikes, et15 is way to aggressive on the front. Spacer will only push it out more......is this a custom setup? Any pictures?

This isnt my regular (25 years) wheel and tire guy but they are great guys. Mostly race prep etc. I just told him I wanted 21 Ag 510 for SQ5 and thats what was sent. Box says ET15 and wheel is flush. With 295 its pokes a little so no way I want to add a spacer to make it fit.

I don't see anyway a 21x10.5 et 15 would rub on the inside. That wheel must have been in an incorrect box. You need to confirm the true offset. I'm guessing it is ET 30. Others are running 20x10.5 et 25 with a 295 tire and no rub and that is 10 mm closer to hub.

Avantguardes standard wheel setup for. 21x10.5 is an et43. That would certainly rub on the inside. Good news is spacers would easily fix that. Any pictures of how it looks right now?

Maybe box was wrong. It is the tire that rubs. I'll keep you posted.

Ohhhhh! ET15 is a blank/raw. As in whomever builds these for AG does them ET15, and AG machines the mount pad down for the application. In fact, every AG may come ET15. That is not your offset. I do see 10.5 ET43 5x120. Have your supplier confirm the offset. If ET43, you'll want 12.5-15mm spacers.

    They should be 5x112!
    If they're 5x120, you'll need adapter/spacers (15-20mm).

Ok. Thanks. No spacers required. Already flush on rear and many nor poke up front. Not sure what we will do.

Hey Mops, what do you suggest for size on Ag in 21x10? Will 295s fit? Thought I'd read lots of guys run 295/35/21.

They fit fine with a 30mm offset or less.
    I've got 295/40 on 20"s et25, and 295/35 on 21"s et30.
Both are close, but hey. . .this ain't horseshoes.

Little updated Car is running well .Im currently playing with the damper settings .

Stasis recommendeds these settings for rebound and compression and fine tune from there .these double adjustables Ohlings are awesome.

I also move the side mirrors to the lower place . This gives me the the ability to remove the window frame in less than a minute by removing 4 bolts equaling in 20-25lbs in weight savings track side

Tires do vary from one make to the next, but did we ever determine what your actual offset is? If it is et43, you will most definitely need spacers. My 295/35ZR21 setup is on 10" wheels with an et30 offset. Their clearance up front is only about 3mm. With a different tire or greater offset, you may experience rubbing, in which case you can get some 5mm spacers. If yours are 43mm offset, 15mm spacers would put you at an effective offset of et28.

Pretty sure they are really et15. Wheels poke at least 5mm and front tires rub . My 275/40/20s (winters) on oem wheels with 15mm fit perfectly. Winters are Scorpions and new ones are P Zeros. What now?

At et15, of course you're going to poke, but rub?? Something's off. Can you take a picture of the wheel/tire mounted.

Poke and rub. They arent on the car. I'll see if I can get more info. Pirelli is about 1/4"+ higher than other 295s.

Is it this bit of flash at the bottom of the upper spindle arm?

It can be ground down if it's the only rub.

Looking at tire diameters there is a difference between 295/40/20 and 295/35/21. I think the 295 Pirelli is taller (almost 1/4") than other brands. 285/35/21 is slightly smaller but still within spec(same as my 275/40/20 winters). Thoughts?

Again, actual tire sizes can vary from one model/manufacturer to another.
If you're set on Pirellis, then just go with the 285's.

If you're set on Pirellis, then just go with the 285's.
Think that's a good call. Still need to exchange wheels though...........
    Thanks for your help.

They are sending another set ET25. Will probably go 285.

If they're sending another set of wheels I wonder if the offset was correct. Et 15 would have given you more poke and more clearance from the upright vs et 25. Could et 15 have been rubbing your wheel well?
In any case, Et 25 should work just fine on 10".
Good luck getting everything fit up. You must be eager to be done. Looking forward to seeing your set up.

It's not the wheel well. Apparently, the Pirellis are a little bigger in diameter, so he's rubbing at the very top. Spacers won't fix that. Now, he's going et25 with 285 tires, so he should be fine.
