New to Audi: best aftermarket parts providers

    Hi folks,

I'm new to Audi--in fact I don't even have one yet but I'm awful close to pulling the trigger. I've had numerous BMWs over the years and learned a lot about best aftermarket parts suppliers (spacers, different gearknobs and such) as well as tuning and coding. So I was hoping you guys could give me a few pointers. What I know so far is it's ECS (I think) for aftermarket parts and APR for tuning. I haven't learned yet whether there's a coding community and available tools... any insights would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    2017 RS7 Performance.

With BMWs, there's really only one option called e-sys if you want to work unconstrained. And as you imply, it is unbelievably complicated (possibly deliberately). Is there a reputable tool out there?

Welcome to the forums! Just joined myself since I had the same questions and have been researching for awhile before picking up an S7 this week.

Here are my recommendations and what I plan to go with:
Suspension parts - Eurocode tuning https://www.ecodetuning.com/c7/
    Performance tuning - APR http://www.goapr.com/products/index.php?v=A7&vg=1
Coding - Ross-Tech VCDS https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/cat/VCDS I'm not familiar with BMW E-Sys, but this looks like the VAG equivalent

For simple coding mods, the Ross-tech VAGCOM cable (you can buy the 3 VIN version for $199 online through Rosstech) works really well. You may already be familiar with Achtuning in Bellevue, but they have an excellent reputation for working on modifications for Audis. I plan on having them do an APR tune on my S6 in a few months. Admittedly, I'm not certain what's even available out there for a new RS7 in terms of tunes/modifications. Many folks on these threads rave about the service of Alex at Europrice for obtaining various parts for their Audis. There are some excellent build threads on here as well to give step-by-step examples of mods folks have done.
