    Milltek Exhaust Tip question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So my car came with a Milltek non-res exhaust with oval tips when I when I bought it, but I'm not super fond of the tips. I've been looking at replacement tip options and the inlets are 63mm. Milltek shows my exhaust outlet to be 2.37". Would the 63mm fit fine or should I look at other options? 2.37" is just a hair over 60mm, so I would think that it would be fine, but I want to make sure before I committ to buying the tips.

There are several available tip options for your car. These include polished quad tips, black quad tips, polished ovals, and black ovals. Additionally, the B8.5 rear valance can be installed and the larger 100mm Polished or Black Quad tips can be installed. Pictures of the options can be found here:

Edit: The B8.5 tips I mentioned can be found by changing your car in the select your car menu to a B8.5 S4

Alex, thanks for the response. To be honest, I'm looking to go with something that is not like any of the actual Milltek tips. I just need to know if the 63mm inlet for the tip will be small enough to fit the exhaust pipe without issues.

The 3mm oversize is likely just for tolerance / assembly. If you're line to line, assembly would be a headache.

Absolutely, my duty to let you know ! That difference may be a little more problematic than you'd expect. The tip inlet will have to be deformed to clamp well onto the exhaust outlet which might skew the alignment. The milltek slip fit tolerances are very tight for this reason.

As a tech tip... instead of just cranking down the clamp to force the tip to stay on... use some high temp exhaust tape or similar product on the exhaust outlet to take up the gap.
