Ordering some Michelin Pilot Super Sports, are these the correct specs?

Looking to purchase some Michelin Pilot Super Sports, I just recently purchased a 2013 Audi S4 6MT, and the previous owner left some "new" cheap Chinese Cratos Roadfors UHP Summer Tires, so I'd like to change them ASAP before the winter is over.

So far the best I could find Michelin PSS was at $296 CDN each, but I noticed that they are 255 / 35 R 19 XL and not 255 / 35 ZR 19 XL.

Is this normal? The 255 / 35 R 19 are still Y speed rated which I don't believe I will ever exceed with this car, but I want to make sure I am not overpaying for the lack of ZR tires.

Also I am a bit confused on XL tires, are they a plus for performance?

    Rims: 19" Peelers

XL Tires are rated for higher loads (lbs.), which the Quattro specs require.

Nope. Ps4 is more a combo of the pss and another tire. Best of both worlds really. Supposed to last a bit longer. i didn't see the need as the pss is already the perfect summer tire. Ps4 becomes available 3/1

Fyi op I got my pss for 220 per this week. 255/35/19 xl

That's just a typo. The PSS is Z rated however, Z is an older, outdated rating and only says that the tire is rated for speed above 149 mph, but it doesn't say how much above 149 mph. That's where the W and Y speed ratings come in. If a tire is Z rated it is mandatory for it to have a W or Y rating as well.

What's more important is to get the right load index and load range. 96 seems to be right for the S4 and yes Extra Load range (XL), so yes, that looks like the correct spec.
