    2017 Q7 21" wheels on my A7

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
We bought a Q7 last week it came with 21 inch black optic wheels with summer tires but I wanted 20 inch all weather tires and wheels as the Q7 will see some light snow and weather.

How would these 21 inch wheels fit on my A7?

I know I would need to get new tires but how would the offset look.

The wheels are 21x9.5" ET 33.

If the would sit flush with the fenders that would be awesome.

I ran 21x9.5" et 34 on my S7 with no issues. Still needed 10mm spacers to get flush

Thanks do you remember what tires you ran?

    These are 285/40 R20.

A7 usually has 265/35/20. Those tires are way too tall

Assuming your current wheels are 2xx/35/20 the tires for the 21's would need to be 285/30/21
If you were moving down a wheel size to 19's and your current wheels are 20's 2xx/35/20 the tires for the 19's would need to be 2xx/40/19
If you move up a wheel size you need to move down a tire size and the opposite for moveing down a wheel size (the middle number)
    Hope this helps

    Cheers

Probably more trouble than it's worth.

    My 20" wheels

    Q7 same wheels in 21"

    Probably just sell the 21"s.

I ran 275/30/21 but had room to go to 285. I have read that others on 285 and 21" had a slight rub on compression so didn't want to chance that.

I had a 2017 Q7 for a few months that came with 21 inch as well. I bought a set of black optic 20" reps and put winters on them and then traded the Q7 for a 2017 S6 a few days later. Those 20" wheels now have Sottozero 3 on them and they are my winter set on the S6.

    20's and 21's for Q7

    20's on Q7

Stock S6 20 inch wheel with summers

Q7 20 inch wheel from above on S6 with winters.

I know you are going the other way in size but it will work, just get the right tires.

So I'm thinking of having the Q7 wheels powder coated matte black and putting 285/30/21 tires with this wheel and off set would fit on the A7?

Thanks sorry if I am being dense just a lot of money to spend on powder coat and tires don't want to mess it up.

Should work great! Are you going to lower your car? If not 285-30-21 shouldn't rub but if you do lower the car you could have some slight rubbing as others have mentioned. on my 21's I run 275-30
