    Comprehensive List of C7.5 Changes? (Thinking C7.5 / E63S / RS7)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi,

Can someone point me to a comprehensive list of C7.5 changes over C7? I'm having issues using a search function for this (too many random results).

Was thinking about 2014 E63 S, but now thinking maybe C7.5 since it has faster transmission and newer tech. With Stage 1 it matches the stock E63 S in speed. I figured I'd use the faster transmission everyday more than the HP I'd get from Stage 1 E63 S.

Something tells me that I should probably stop being a little girl and just spring for RS7... but I'm afraid to mod something that expensive in case the dealer catches my shenanigans and stock RS7 feels slower than my current Stage 1 A8 4.0T, so I'd probably end up modding it... Another thing about RS7 is that I already have this tranny in A8 and its not that quick. So a few strikes against the RS7 right there.

    Thanks.

    Updated Original Question above.

Also, Sport Exhaust only on C7.5?

I was looking at the e63 too. However, I quickly dismissed it as prices a year or two old were too high IMO, particularly as the new model was coming out soon. Plus the tech and interior in the Audi is far superior IMO.

Yeah, completely not thrilled with W212 interior. AMG spices it up, but it does feel a generation older.

Stock RS and your Stage 1 L should be about the same in quickness and speed, probably what you're feeling is the greater torque your car has with the tune. One advantage If you go for the E63 is they tend to run a little less expensive than the RS- for me it's an obvious choice

Yea, I'm expecting W212 E63 to drop even more after the new one comes out this year. I know I'm going to mod and I am afraid to do it on a 80-90K car and lose the warranty.

Understood, but the RS has proven itself a pretty durable platform, there are a ton of guys on here that run APR or Uni and I'm not sure if I've heard of any issues to this point. After my first foray to the drag strip with this car I'll be going Stage 1.

I came from a 2014 E63S and I can tell you the RS7 is a much better car in many ways. The only thing I'd say the E63S is better in is handling/steering. The cars weight is not felt in the steering and handling like it is in the RS7. On top of that, the Mercedes tuning and aftermarket world sucks. People pay top dollar for parts that are not proven, and nobody has figured out how to use the full torque of the car in 1st and 2nd gear, so it launches like a pig.

I will add a couple of changes for C7.5. Alcantara door inserts. 2 usb inputs in the center console ( I believe there was a proprietary thing in the glove box in prior years) On paper 30 more horsepower!

    Correct, lame but correct.

Although to be honest my wife's Q7 has Apple play and I don't really love it as much as I would expect given my love of Apple products.

Do you feel like it is significantly better than Bluetooth for audio?

It supposedly works with both Android and Apple.

Although I'm a Mac user, l prefer my Samsung Note 5 over the iPhone, but the lack of any ability to control say, Spotify using the MMI system is a real pita. I'm still hoping that Audi provide a software upgrade to enable CARPlay to be retrofitted to the C7.5 MMI

I use cable instead of Bluetooth so I think it's the same.
