Help with determining original headlights on 2008 Audi A4 Quattro

Hello, first time user to Audizine. I've got a question about what type of headlights were originally with my car.

I recently purchased a used 2008 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T with the S-line exterior package and if I'm not mistaken the sport package as well. Has paddle-shifters, 17" 5 spoke wheels. Was advertised as sport-package.

My question is, what were the stock headlights for this model. After doing extensive searches through the interwebs I'm a bit confused about what headlights came stock, the Halogen lights or the Bi-Xenon lights. At some point someone upgraded to a new headlight assembly with LED and i think Xenon headlights. If i understand correctly if they are Bi-Xenon headlights originally Im kind of screwed if what is in there now fails on me. I have to go and get the OEM Bi-Xenon from the dealer at a rob you blind price, haven't been able to find any aftermarket lights that would work as replacements. I understand at times stock Bi-Xenon's can be found on e-bay etc for a lower cost. But how can i tell for sure? I looked up the car using a Vin finder for the original specs on the car. The information said Halogen so I'm hoping that someone just did a Halogen to Xenon conversion.

Problem is, A: Manufacture of the new lights is no longer in business. - JunYan - LH-HU286 is the model number on the headlights. Tracking that leads me to
http://www.junyan.com.tw/products.as...D%20Indication as you can see the product listed isn't on the site, and closest one to the Car make/model body style.- B7 doesn't even have any images or information other than basic dimensions. So no help there. Unless anyone knows anything about this assembly.. Most notably how to adjust the level of the lights, right now they are pointed very low and i would like to elevate the lights a little bit.

B: I read in a post that if the car's harness is rounded it was originally Halogen based lights. Or if square, with rounded edges it was a Bi-Xenon.

This is what I have in the car right now, would that be the rounded harness? Or square with rounded corners.

The adjustment knob i think is

Looks like the beige/white knob is the adjustment but if i try to rotate it, it seems to come loose and the projector becomes loose in the mounting. Or do i try and rotate the metal looking screw?

It appears the after market light has everything correct, lights function properly etc.. Although I do get a headlamp warning when i go to High-beams for both left and right sided lights.

Any helpful input would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

    Chris,

+1 your car came with halogens.

To adjust the height hold the white piece of plastic and turn the metal screw with pliers or a small socket till the headlight is at the desired level. You can swap the white adjuster for a headlight level motor (the reason the white bit comes out). And adjust them from your dial in the cab. Looks like the original fitter was too cheap/lazy to do this. I suspect the former from the cheap Chinese lights he bought.

For the bulb warning on high beam this could be to do with the way the lights are wired or because of LED bulbs in there. Either way, if the full beams work simply put a resistor across the +ve and -be wires for the full beam and your error will go away. Horizon LEDs sell little resistors specifically for this from when you change from halogen to LED.

All 2008s are "s-line" (exterior). Other options like xenons weren't standard.
