98 A4 Quattro 2.8, Did i make a mistake buying this car? Emissions issue p0455

I bought a 1998 Audi a4 Quattro 2.8 the other day for $1k (has 200k but overall looks, and drives good). A couple days after buying it the check engine light comes on, and I bring to emissions who tells me it is ready to be tested, but with the P0455 emissions code EVAP Large Leak it isn't going to pass. Also brought it to an Audi mechanic who gave me a few other codes, see here, http://imgur.com/a/dy0LR

Could this be an easy fix to pass emissions? I am not expecting the car to last me that long given the mileage and age.. Hell, i'd be happy if its drive-able for 6months to a year. The thing is it has to pass emissions. I'm trying to do the bare minimum.

Any advice or opinions are appreciated. With the codes from the mechanic I guess it must be a bigger issue than the gas cap? Do you think I should just try to get rid of the car as quickly as possible?
    -Thanks

Looks like you have an issue with your secondary air injection possibly leaking or unplugged. Find that and look for leaks. You can idle the car and spray starter fluid on the hoses till it revs up then you've found your leak.

This might be a stupid question... but would each of the codes from the Audi mechanic cause the check engine light to go on? Since p0455 EVAP large leak is the only thing that showed up at emissions would that be the only problem that needs to be fixed in order to pass?

I'm gonna dissent on the SAI. The large evap leak comes from the system that evacuates fuel vapors. SAI doesn't encounter gasoline vapor. I'd say replace your gas cap, vapor purge valve (n80) or the valve that purges vapor near the filler cap.

I didnt even see that it said EVAP. ^This is sound advice.

You can also have an evap leakdown test to see where the leak comes from. A local mechanic should be able to do it for about $100

Easiest way to find the leak is a smoke test.
Check the vacuum connections around the passenger side.
