    Experience with FK coilovers

Looking to lower my car and maintain a decent ride as this is a daily driver that will probably never even see a track.

Thinking back, I had a B6 Passat on FK Highsport coils, and it rode great. Good damping and very smooth on expansion joints.

So I looked for experience in here and found little on the B8. Anyone drive one on FKs?

Recommendations for a good ride and moderate drop from oem sport suspension?

Fk coilovers are garbage. If youre going with a budget coilover, go with solowerks instead bro

I'd say go with ST Coilovers. I had them on my CC and will be getting them for my A4 in the spring. The ride is smooth, not bouncy and for a daily driver, they ride great. Plus, they are made by KW and have a 5 year warranty. From what I've experienced in the past, you get what you pay for with coils.

There are a TON of people running ST and Solo-werks and the vast majority of them are very happy. I wouldn't use Highsports, AK, Streetsports, etc.

90% of FK coilovers are garbage, but the top-shelf, dampening adjustable ones (Koenigsport and Silverline X) use Koni shocks/struts which are uber comfortable and pretty much bulletproof reliability.

Thanks Zach, that is my experience too. Their cheapest kits may well be a poor as they are cheap though.

I realize that STs are popular in here, but frankly I don't think the car I have ridden in rode all that well.

Just FYI - ST is wholly owned subsidiary of KW, which makes stellar suspension products. ST is like a budget version of the KW V1. They still ride pretty good, and they come with pretty much the best warranty on any budget coilover - 5 years.
