034 Rear sway bar, wont fit?

Hello i a 034 rear sway bar not to long ago, yesturday when i was going to mount. Some how the 034 is alot shorter then the sway bar that is mounted...

Have i gotten the wrong bar from 034?

Or do i have a special rear sway bar??

It might just need different link arms, I'm not sure, though.

Maybe some others running an 034 rear sway bar may be able to chime in here?

I am going to say you got sent the wrong one. If you look at the bends on the 034 bar on their website, it does not seem to be the same to me as the one in your pic.

Not about to play 'match that bar', nor do I know if I am correct or not. Winging it as an unlicensed internet detective, at the moment. Here is list of bars to compare designs to.

And be sure to make some sort of support bracket for the stiffer bar, or buy one of the few on the market. Some even just weld in stuff.

That's a first gen 034 b5s4 bar with the kink in it, the latest ones are straight.. are you missing the new brackets and the support bracket? Also, get metal end links..

I have erly mod S4 (98) but i did not know they were that different. Is there something i can do to make it fit?

I do have the support brackets but im not shure they will fitt properly, i will take some more pics tomorrow.

Hehe it is, but its B5 and the subframe is from a 98 S4. :)

they'll probably send you a replacement, but might require a few hours of them calling you a liar first and having to prove it.

not sure why a solid bar is so popular in light if it being rendered obsolete 20 years ago by the industry. /shrug I'm sure it works, at least when they send you the right one.

It is actualy my fault, it apers that the subframe in the back is Passat syncro... thats why it does not fitt... the guy i bought the car from still claims that its S4...

Someone doesn't like 034! I've always had great experience's with them. Looks like it wasn't even incorrect parts...

friend of my did this on his passat 4 motion. s4 subframe dosent fit on the passat ;)

But your old one dosent look like the 4motion swaybar?

i have a set of sway for sale from my c5 s6 if it will help.
