This is a used S6 at a non Audi dealer by my house, I haven't seen it around before. Not sure how the dealer acquired it but it looks nice. Looks to have a Roc intake on it. Anyone know whos it is?

Looks clean. I'd just check for a tune though. Lol. But on a side note, I found a loaded 2016 S7 for 61k with about 11k miles on it. I hope prices keep falling like this and I will have my ass in an S6/7 next year :-P

I'm not very fond of this dealer at all, they've had a bad reputation for as long as I know. Not sure if I would jump on this. Makes me wonder why or how they got it or why somebody got rid of it so soon. I haven't checked prices on these at all.

It doesn't have the cold weather package because it has a flat bottom steering wheel.

I just called the dealer, they said the guy bought it new and he needed a truck so he traded it in a new Dodge Ram. I asked if he knew anything about it being modified at all and he didn't know that it had an aftermarket intake on it and they don't have the factory box for it.

Thats pretty given. Lol. I know of quite a few Audi dealers themselves where the managerial level guys take the trade in S/RS cars home as their own until sold. Traded in at 10k mi and sold with 15k mi on the odo. Lmao

On others, I'd check the launch counter and stuff to give me an idea of how the car was treated. A low mileage CPO is a little safer choice since you also would have the leverage of using AoA if something went wrong.

Great advice from everyone here. I'd like to add just one more thing. Since the car has a RocEuro intake chances are that it has/had a tune. So there is also the possibility that the car is flagged TD1. In that case you would not be able to get any warranty work done at a dealership and if something goes wrong it would come out of your pocket. I'm not sure if an Audi dealership could provide that information just by giving them the VIN or if they have to physically hook it up to their scanner. Just another risk to consider if you don't buy CPO from an Audi dealership. BTW, the vehicle information states that the car has comfort seats w/o diamond stitching but the pictures show the sports seats w/ diamond stitching. A couple more mistakes I noticed are that the wheels are 20" not 19" and the inlays are carbon fiber not wood. Also, the car has a flat bottom steering wheel and thus it is not heated as advertised.

I thought about it being flagged myself as I didn't see any mention of the left over factory warranty. I don't think I would ever buy a used Audi unless it did come from an Audi dealer with CPO. I just thought it might be interesting to find the previous owner and maybe get the back story to help a could be buyer. I might go take it for a test drive though, it's only 3 miles from me.

Funny how many replies on here talk about they won't buy a used Audi unless it's CPO. While at the same time I would bet most members on this forum are the first ones to tune and modify their cars. Bottom line, do your homework but if the car looks to be a good deal, go for it.

The price is pretty steep for a $83K original sticker vehicle. I personally would never buy a "manager's car". I'm not saying this one is but I can only imagine how it was driven by the folks at this dealership.
Years ago, I bought a new GL450 with 500 miles on it; yes, they sold it to me as new. That was the last time I purchased a "new" car with more than 50 miles on the odometer. Anyways, this SUV turned out to be a maintenance nightmare. I got tired of dropping off that POS at the stealership on my days off. Needless to say, I got rid of it after a year. I'd opt for a CPO or buy from a private seller.

I was wondering what a 16 would fetch. I came across an Aston I was considering this week and didn't want to keep the S6 if I got it. The Aston sold before I could make up my mind...eliminating the problem. Mine only had 7300 on the clock tho...no B&O or Heads up..otherwise loaded. Mine was 83 and i was thinking 72 was fair for a babied garaged perfect car.

There's a CPO 2016 S6 with 6800 miles in Milwaukee with Cold Weather, Sport, Black Optics and Carbon Atlas listed for $67k. Not sure how that compares to your estimate.
2015 Audi S7 Prestige. Bang & Olufsen, Black Optics, Night Vision, Driver Assistance, Adaptive, Alcantara Headliner, Pre Sense, Lane Assist, Cold Weather, etc.
    2017 Jeep SRT. Borla ATAK.

This is because you bought a fucking MB not because it had 500 miles on it. Every MB owner I know had to take their car in at least once for warranty work within their first 5K miles

I'm on my 6th MB (all purchased new) and 2 of them had any warranty work done. The MB owners you know must be all jinxed.

Lol I just love to hate Benz's with what my buddies had to grow through. My dad has a certified one and it's been OK I think.

Lol. We get to see such instances with pretty much every brand dude. My last A6 was a shop beauty. 17 times at the shop in less than 2 years of ownership. BMW's are known to give problems but one of my friend had an M3 and now an M4. Both haven't had any issues.

Every brand has their lemons. My lemon was a Jeep Grand Cherokee during my younger years. I haven't purchased a Jeep/Chrysler product since nor will I ever. Though I'm not a fan of MBs (my wife likes them), I've been fairly pleased with their reliability and their service departments tend to be top notch. I'm on my third Audi and they've all been trouble free thus far, knock on wood.
In regards to the OP's dilemma, I would not buy a car (used or new) if there are any sort of indications that it's been driven hard during the break-in period or abused/driven like it was stolen. Our first GL450 was the manager's car with 500 miles on it. It went in the shop 6 times within the first 4 months of ownership with fairly major problems-leaky gaskets, transmission issues, radiator leaks (replaced the radiator), multiple CELs, fuel system issues, front end squeaks, etc. More than likely that dipwod abused the crap out of it.

I agree ... with the above comments.

Seriously man I would not buy a 60000$ car from a non Audi dealer without warranty .

It's about peace of mind , don't want to loose my sleep about thinking what will break next.

That car may still have factory warranty. It doesn't matter if you're the second or third owner. Factory warranty is covered for 4 years/50k miles whichever comes first. I bought my s6 used and I got all recalls and parts replaced under warranty with no money out of my pocket.

The biggest thing you would want to check for is if it was tuned. If purchasing the car from a non audi dealer than I suggest asking them if a ppi can be done at an authorized audi dealer and the dealer will also be able to tell you if it is tuned because once they hook it up to their system it will either show it is already flagged or will get flagged right then for td1. You can also be extra careful and ask tuners nicely if the car was tuned before by giving them the VIN number.

It's okay to be suspicious, but the po probably had the intake just for noise. It's a beautiful car, hopefully you find it everything you need to know.

Funny, I went and looked at this car last week and noticed the intake and decided to scan this forum to see if I could find anymore information on this car just like the OP and found this thread. For what it's worth, I noticed this car has spacers on all four wheels as well. Didn't notice anything else but wouldn't be surprised if it had a tune. Thought about asking NGP since they're literally right down the road.

I think if I were going to buy and 16 S6 I'd want unmolested a CPO, although this car is sweet.

I scoured this country pretty well before we bought our S6 last month, and I found two things...

    1) non-cpo cars were much cheaper than cpo.

    2) Driver's assistance package and sport package together on the same car, are rare. A car without both is typically a MUCH better price than a car with both.

I found a 16 prestige CPO with every option inclusive of the B&O sound system... EXECEPT the driver assistance package. It was like 67k asking with just a few thousand miles. MSRP on the car was close to 90 a few months prior. I wanted the DA package, so we skipped it. :(

I have owned several high mileage Audi's and all have treated me well. If you have a trusted mechanic you should be good money.

I agree with everyone's perspective. To some it may be worth the risk to buy a car that's already modded and/or non CPO simply because the price reflects the lack of warranty and that you know you will be modding it right off the bat. Roll the dice with it and youll probably be happy that you don't have major repairs and that you get to freely mod it without the remorse of losing the warranty you paid a premium for. If you plan on keeping it the way you received it then you'll be happy that you saved 4-5K that can easily go towards and repairs in the future. Regardless they cannot void your ENTIRE warranty from mods. They can void some or specific stuff... Example they can't blame your tune on your seats that stop moving or MMI crashing.

With that said I still got a CPO for a few reason s, I bought a car that is much older (2013 model) versus a 2016. So with the mileage it has and the lack of time I have to fix stuff myself I wanted things to be fixed by the dealer. And I like having loaners while things are getting fixed so it doesn't slow down my life. The other thing is I bought my car without personally inspecting it myself so a CPO was my best bet to make sure the checklist for the car was all green.

While I don't believe Audi dealerships do a great job looking over their cars to pass CPO. They do make sure the car wasn't tuned, they make sure the pads/rotors come with a certain thickness, make sure the tires had a solid tread on them, etc. They even had all rotors and pads and tires replaced prior to me purchasing it. So it was a no brainer.

Idk specifically about this car, but as a reference, the dealerships here offered me 62k for mine and were thinking of flipping it for 64k-65k so not sure if this is necessarily an amazing price. I have slightly more miles, but also have more packages/options on mine.

Another thing I always do is take my laptop and VagCom to check how many times the car has been launched. You can tell a lot about how car has been driven. I have seen cars for sale that have been launched over 50 times. That's a red flag for me on a car with less than 20k miles on it.

Decent deal given the low miles. Reason why I say decent is because it does not have the sport seats. but not everyone is hung up on having the sport seats.

At the beginning I wished it had the sport seats because of the look but after getting a back massage from my car and in summer getting a nice cool breeze I changed my mind about it.
