Help me choose what color to wrap my RS4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I'm thinking about just keeping the RS4 instead of unloading it. I think wrapping the car in a new color will rekindle that flame and upgrading the SC. I was thinking of these pastel colors: Porsche Fashion Grey, Porsche Mignonette Green, or maybe an Arctic/Ibis White as my last choice.
Fashion Grey is a little lighter than Nardo Grey in the pic below to give you an idea. Since the car is Avus Silver originally, I think a Grey will not look as tacky in the door sills and engine bay when you see the contrast of having a wrap, so that's what I'm leaning towards but just wanted a different perspective from you guys. Is it too close to Suzuka?

EDIT: I think some are under the wrong impression, I'm just asking which color should I go with, Fashion Grey or Mignonette Green? Thank you for the other suggestions, I've just narrowed it down to these colors.

    Fashion Grey

    Fashion next to Nardo

    Mignonette Green

Porsche Mignonette Green looks the most striking, yet subtle at the same time.

I would go with paint though. I'm not a wrap fan.

Wrap would be safer for future value though.. based on the idea that if a car is going to hold value it will do so in stock form... IMO

Damn, my car is going to hell then bc it nowhere near stock. But I agree with the OG paint holding more value to a car.

That's a lovely color as well. Wonder how close it is to Daytona Grey? At the same time Fashion Grey is very similar to Suzuka Grey. I want a color that subtle yet unique.

If you search the forum for wrap you'll find some other good pics and discussions as well, including at least one with a nice grey.

I agree, it would be a unique color to see. I think there is another owner who had there car wrapped a light grey that posted here at one point. Looked good as well.

I have never seen either Fashion Grey or Mignonette Green on an B7 A4/S4/RS4. For my age, my only concern is that the green might be too loud. Anybody good with PS?

Can they do paint-to-sample wrap colors now? Not sure I've ever seen a film offered in a color like Mignonette Green.

Regardless, I say for a non-Ti car go with Fashion Grey and for a Ti car go with Mignonette Green.

The lambo color has a pearl in it kinda yellowish pearl. Looks good when the light catches it. Nardo is a straight metallic by comparison.

The Porsche green is different for sure.

    Grey is a safe color.

I was wondering this myself a few years ago when I first saw Nardo Grey in person. I needed it in my life badly. I researched locally and at that time I found that you can do some custom print colours but the match isn't paint perfect and there will be slight variations in the shadings out of the printer and apparently doesn't always come out looking great from panel to panel once laid down.

However, I did find an off shelf Avery vinyl wrap colour that came very close to a Nardo Grey match, I just never pulled the trigger. I still have troubles with vinyl wraps when you get up close as it lacks any of the depth that nice paint has. A proper wrap job is also not a low dollar venture.

    Good luck!

I am up here in Vancouver, but a few of the local guys I have talked to have been in the $4K-$5K range for a quality wrap job. And on top of that a couple of the more discriminating Porsche guys up here had to paint a couple things to match (like door handles and mirrors) as they were not satisfied with the way the wrap could be applied in those tight curved areas.

another for the green…especially if you go TI for trim and wheels. Personally I think this would look very vintage/retro and not be too loud

I say the green also. While the grey is pretty sweet the car will just blend in with everyone else on the road.

I saw this satin candy red e92 m3 today in person. It probably would work out well on a Ti package car. Bold in the day light, blends in at night.

Personally tired of the Nardo variants Though, if I only had to choose between Fashion or Nardo, Fashion all the way(because in your #2 and #3 photo they look like the same color lol)
