If the deal seems too good to be true, it is. Lots of fakes around...

Yeah I'm seeing prices all over the place for them and I'm trying to figure out what a good middle ground price is.

I think you sent me a set of xenarc . Remember if they were 4300 or 5500??

Haven't tried them but I've heard great things. 2 other sets to try when I get my projectors in. Will see which I like.

There are lots of fakes on eBay so be careful. Also keep in mind that some Osram Cool Blues are 6000 deg. Kelvin. There is a lot of useless blue light in a 6000 degree bulb and they produce a lot of glare. Not a great bulb for night driving. They say that the luman output is high but if you subtract the unhelpful blue component of the light spectrum they actually have a much lower 'useable' output. You are better off going with their 5000 degrees max bulbs. Osram makes a quality product and their HID bulbs used to carry a 10-year warranty. Check into that as well.

We carry Flosser now... German made D1S.

    BULB (XENON, D1S, OEM 4300K)

    BULB (XENON, D1S, MEGA 5000K)

I have the 5000k with STi projector lenses and I can't find a car that has better light output than that setup. Thanks Phil!

Yea my Morimoto 4300K bulbs have been solid for 3-4 years. No complaints. Not even a flicker in all this time.

As much as I prefer the OEM 4300K light coloring, as I'm switching so LED DRLs and city lights I might be swapping out my bulbs for something closer to 5000K. It depends on what "Warm White" means when it comes to cheap chinese LEDs, haha.

Our 5000k bulbs will look like "broken in" 4300 bulbs... that's the way it's supposed to work. Cheap 5000k bulbs will give off a blue tint.

    You're talking about LEDs right?

Yea I'm piecing together a cheapo proof of concept setup for myself, mainly so I can learn a bit about resistors and wiring and whatnot. I know turnkey led kits are often a better solution but I wanted to DIY this one for the learning experience. If I meet to swap out the LEDs later on for more consistent colored ones then so be it. I'm only out $40 for two full sets of bulbs and a handful of waterpack connectors so the outlay is minimal. Just haven't had time to actually complete any work on it yet.

The whole project came about because one of the bulbs failed on my PureMS city light kits and they are no longer available so I decided to roll my own and do DRLs as well so the lights all roughly match.

Can you post pic from drivers seat about 50' from a wall? Please and thank you. Trying to get a best view of the STI vs Zkw lenses. Wud be a nice setup to post the different bulbs and lenses all in one convient location. 4300 , 5000, 6000 bulbs wud be good to for those who have currently and can spare a few min one night stopping to snap a pick.

    Thanks in advance.

Not by a wall but I came across this picture of my trip out to cars and coffee... no fogs or high beams in this pic.
