    What Seats Fit C5

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
The car I am looking at has one torn seat. I like the seats but they look more comfy than sporty. Is there a "bolt in" seat that looks factory or is factory from another Audi A6 or A4 that bolts right in without looking bad? I am looking at a 2000 A6 2.7t. Thanks and sorry for all the questions I didn't find an answer in the tech articles. If there is a thread a link would be great. thanks again.

things from the c5. So the a6 had sport seats that were nice. rs6 seats. rs6 recarros but they seem to be white whale status.

All seats from C5's are interchangeable.
A6 comfort seats are the least desirable.
A6 sport seats are the same as S6 or RS6 seats, but leather is the least soft,S6 would be softer and RS6 would be softest. S6 only had optional Alcantara seat inserts which are the best stock C5 seat offered to USA.
allroad seats are more comfy and offer more support then regular A6 seats.
Car you're looking at has probably sport package and usually all sport seats from those years will show the most wear due to mileage.

The only way to fit them is to have a shop fabricate you a custom bracket and wiring harness to obtain all functions, otherwise they're not direct swap.
There was a company who made brackets and harness for B6/7 S4 seats to fit into our cars, but they discontinued it.

Right on thx CP. The seats still feel really good. I may just put some decent covers on them for now and save up for a pair of RS seats.

allroad seats ARE NOT comfy at all, at least in my opinion. The sitting quality is about of very firm bench with very little accommodations for anatomy. You'll slide in them a lot as you drive. Sports seats from A6 I put in are much softer/supportive/better shaped to butts so I can only imagine how softer S6/RS6 would feel.

Anyhow, there is a mega thread about seats on this forum so just do a search and you will find it. Very recent info too.

Nice I'm 6' 225 so were in the same range. I will keep an eye out. I saw a set of nice black seats at the pull a part today. Almost snagged them but the whole interior smelled funny so I pulled out lol. I have the beige/black interior. I am probably going to go to a black seat setup.

    You probably have vanilla interior...
    That's rare.
Odor can be deodorised, as long as they're not moldy.

That's vanilla, very rare! Your headliner and door cards are specific, I think even black pieces of the interior are shade darker then black/onyx A6 interiors.
C'mon now! That's not bad at all, you're too OCD about it, just get someone to fix/cover that driver bolster. Upholstery guys can do magic for cheap.
You wouldn't believe what people are driving on, yours are mint!

Craigslist part-outs. Most people won't say 'sport seats' it'll just be a part-out listing. Don't hold out for S6 sport seats, the difference is negligible over A6 which are much easier to find. Most 4.2 and 6-speed 2.7Ts with sport package had sport seats.

I too am on the hunt for seats, I have the beige interior which seems less common.... In fact I could trip over the grey and black seats out there.... my seat bottoms are DESTROYED, as in almost no leather left, my hunt has turned up some seats on car-part but they are usually in a different state. At this point I'd be happy with another set of comfort seats that are in good shape, (most of the beige seats on car-part are comfort seats) but would prefer to stay closer to home.

Another thought was to order a set of the custom fitted seat covers but those are about the same price as the seats themselves.

    Any thoughts out there?
