Question Need help finding a replacement part

I have a 2011 A4 and on the top right of the manifold, there is a small part with a hose going into and out of it and it is making a loud ticking noise. The part number on it is 06H-906-517-H. Is this the latest revision of this part, and where can I buy a replacement for it?

Thats a N80 purge valve, they're supposed to tick, do not replace unless you have an actual fault relating to the EVAP system / the purge valve.

I originally thought it was a purge valve so I bought an n80 valve for a b8 a4 and its a different part. It's also ticking very loudly.

His link actually answered both your questions. No it's not the latest revision, and he gave you the link to a place where you can buy the latest revision.

Oh, haha, I missed that, thanks for pointing it out. Will this work in an a4 though since it says its only for a6's and a's?

Going by part numbers will generally be more accurate than the listed applications on parts seller's websites. There's always the chance that someone before you installed the wrong part in your car, but more often than not if there's a discrepancy, it's with an online parts seller just not listing all the proper applications.

Do you get a smell of gas on startup? I have the same ticking and am wondering if I have the same problem, no trouble codes though. Thanks for any help.
