    Aero Wiper replacement blade options

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've had my aero kit for almost 5 years now, and it's time for some new blades. Does anyone know what aftermarket blades will fit the B6 aero kit? I've done a lot of searching the last few days and I'm only finding oem replacement aero wipers. I'd like to find some replacements from Trico or Bosch in stores. Thanks in advance.

Get B7 aero arms, then you can get off the shelf aero blades.

What's the difference between the aero kit I have now and the B7 one? They look very similar and mine use the slide lock style blades with the U attachment for the wiper. Is there a way for me to identify my aero arms?

B7 came with aero wiper so they're the same as 2004-2005 B6's.

So you're saying my 2002 B6 (which includes 2003 b6) had an old style arm that they don't even include in the universal wiper lookup books in all auto part stores? Then in 2004 they updated to Aero arms? Just wanting to clarify so I don't spread misinformation. :)

I'm saying 2004-2005 B6's had the aero arm just like the B7 has. 2002-2003 B6's had a different style, if they're in your local auto-parts store wiper lookup books, I have no clue.

I'm looking for more of an in-store replacement. Since I have the aero kit that comes on newer(b7? Late B6?) cars would I just say I have a 2004 or 2007 Audi and I need replacement wipers?

So what I've found is that the kit I ordered on ecs was P# B6AWK and the replacement blades are P# 4B0998002 which says they fit the B6 all the way to the B7 and the C5 models.

None of the stores have the early (non aero) or late (aero) blades around here, anyway. They're both different than a traditional 'U' or pin setup.

Early uses a weird plstic clip into a long square hole on the blade

late areo arm has a sort of trapezoid that fits into the blade, which has a sliding lock on it.

Yes. Get the Bosch. SKIP THE VALEOS! They are straight junk. I had Borsh aeros for 3 years before it was time to change them. Valeo's are already streaking 2 months in

I've found that the Bosch aero blades work the best, meaning less chatter/squeaking.

For the future, set an alert on camel x3 for the Bosch blades on Amazon. When they show up used from Amazon Warehouse Deals they are usually returns that didn't fit, so brand new in open packaging. I bought a few sets that way.

I haven't used the Bosch wipers but read a lot of reviews that people are reporting that the blades are leaving spots not wiped and separating off the arm. I have been using Rain X and had a good experience with them.

    Hey Everyone,

Bumping up this thread as I need some replacement wiper blades for winter. Are these still the best (cheapest) option for Aero Wiper Blade Refills:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...iglink20461-20

I have a 2004 Audi A4 with Aero Wipers. According to ECS, it matches up with these (Bosch P/N: 3397118933):

If anyone could offer any assistance, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks,

aero wipers are so expensive...i've owned both aero and non aero and actually prefer the non-aero due to cost. i swap out my blades much more often since they're cheaper to replace.

bosch wipers as recommended have been my favorite aero replacements. supposedly they have a graphite film which allow for less chatter and smooth wiping.

You can prolong the life of the blades by cleaning them w/ rubbing alcohol to remove the contaminants that get on them from the roads.

Good tip! I usually get about 2 years out of a set since I rarely use them and just let rain-x do the work for me. FWIW, theres still some open box sets for $20ish on Amazon. Go snag em! My windshield is streak free again.
