Show your B8 Engine bay!!!

I couldn't seem to find any engine bay threads and it would be great to get ideas from what other members may have tackled.

I am at the point where I have very few things on my list left for exterior and interior mods. Dressing up my engine bay is the next phase.

I believe this was taken from my phone. Sorry I will get a much better pic next summer when I can finally drive her after 3 years. Also I might just have to invest in the carbon fiber cover for viewing pleasures. I was thinking of cutting off the intake manifold cover portion of the stock engine cover to show the IE manifold but cover the nasty dirty valve cover. Yes I know I cheaped out last time I was home and bought a cheap orange oil filter.....

What are everyone's thoughts on using colored split loom in our engine bays? I feel like this can look great but easily turn ricey if not careful...

Looks tacky IMO. I did the whole colored split loom thing back when I was a teen, and I reflect upon those days in shame.

very nice! That is the same Intercooler I plan on picking up here in the next few months.

Most of us so far do have very similar bays. I was really hoping someone with a shaved bay or fully built engine would show up but i guess no one has felt it is worth doing on an A4.

His car is a B8.5 year 2014. In the US, the metal intake manifold comes from the factory on 2013+ e85 flex-fuel engines. The flex fuel only comes in cars with the automatic transmission. Manual gearbox cars continued getting the plastic manifold from the earlier B8 cars.

Pretty sick hardware box there. Looks like you got a shop recommending your purchases. What tune is the shop telling you to run? Did IE include a software tune with hardware, or were you planning to run a one-off custom tune and which software company do you plan to do the custom tune?

Finally had the chance to begin using my DEI heat wrap. I plan to do the turbo inlet hose (barely even visible) and the intercooler hoses/piping (once I install my forge intercooler and open mesh fog grilles).

Let me know your thoughts.

It may physically bolt to the engine cylinder head, but you'd likely have to change many other things like fuel line routing, etc. and even then you'd have to change MUCH more to make use of it. The entire fuel system would need to be updated to the flex fuel and then you'd have to use an ECU and/or software tune that was compatible. It's not worth it.
